OuiPlease Vol. 3.1 Summer Box

The OuiPlease is a box full of Parisian treasures that ships 6 times a year. The price of the box is quite high at $150 per shipment. You can also subscribe yearly for $650 bringing the price of the box down to $108. Per the OuiPlease website your special delivery will feature a surprise selection of products, including the very best France has to offer in beauty, jewelry, accessories, apparel, home and epicure and have a value of at least $300.

Every now and then they have a 20%-30% off code that can be used on yearly subscriptions and brings the price down to $520 or $455. I was lucky enough to find one for 30% off so this box was only $75. The bad part is it's an overlap box with my previous subscription.

Price: $108-$150 every two months depending on subscription commitment.

The Good:

Luxury products: The boxes are filled with name brands that would be considered luxurious.

Variety: This box isn't just beauty products. It will have jewelry, apparel, home goods, etc.

Information: They include their own magazine that talks about the products in the box as well as other products.

Pricing Structure: They offer one-time, monthly or yearly subscriptions. It would be nice to see a 6 month (3 box) subscription tier.

The Not So Good

Price: The price is way high but at the same time you will hopefully get what you pay for.

Referrals: I would like to see a referral program. If you can convince someone to spend this much money on a box you should get a little thank you treasure.

Contents of the Volume 3.1 OuiPlease Box:

Les Néréides Paris Charm Bracelet in Royal Beetle. Value = $60.00

Mille et une Fouta 100% cotton Beach Towel. Value = $50.00

Gold 48K Paris Day Cream. Value = $200.00

Christophe Robin Lemon Cleansing Mask. Value = $30.00

Oui Love It! Langues de Chat cookie. Value = $10.00

Clara en Provence Savon de Marseile & Lavender bag. Value = $15.00

The value of this box is $365.00. The hero item in this box is the $200 day cream. The reason it's $200 is because it has pure gold in it. For $200 it better works miracles! I received an email before this box shipped telling me I could pick which bracelet and beach towel color I wanted. I like it when they do this because some things I would absolutely not use. The problem is, twice now OuiPlease has ignored my requests. I requested the lady bug bracelet and got the beetle. The worst part is the beetle is my least favorite and I will not wear it. I did receive the right color beach towel though. I am excited to try the cookies with my coffee this weekend. I think it's funny that they are named cat tongue cookies. The lavender scented items are ok. I will probably save them for a gift though because I have a 5 foot wide French lavender bush at my house that provides all the lavender I need.

Verdict: I'm not sure how many months left I have on my subscription but I'm leaning towards not renewing. The last 2 boxes have left me unexcited.
