Odd Sox Box

Everyone expresses their personality in some way through fashion. I choose to color my hair in non-natural colors. Some people are addicted to shoes, vintage rock band shirts and some people express themselves through socks. Socks? Yes, socks. My mom, when she worked at the hospital in the pediatric unit was a sock person. She would wear fun, funky, unusual socks everyday and the kids would always look forward to seeing what socks she was wearing that day.  Whenever I traveled I would always bring her back a pair of socks.

This is where Odd Sox Box comes in. You don't have to search out the odd socks, they will come to you every month in the mail. The good people at Odd Sox contacted me and offered to send me a box for my honest review. I was super excited about this one!

Price: $10 for one pair a month, $20 for two pairs, $30 for four pairs, $75 for 10 pairs. All of those prices include shipping.

The Good:

Finding cool socks. Search no more, Odd Sox comes to you.

Need a sock break? There is no commitment. If you need a break just pause your shipment.

Need a gift? This would make a great gift!

Don't like the design they sent? Gift it!

The Not So Good:

Sock overload. Yes you could end up with a bunch of socks but who doesn't love wearing new socks?

Even the box the socks come in is cool!

Contents of the Odd Sox Box

Ren & Stimpy Socks. Value = $14.99

Roses Socks. Value = $14.99

The total value of this Odd Sox box is $29.98. You can buy these socks individually on their website for $14.99 a pair but you have to pay $3 shipping. So really this box is worth $32.98. When I opened this box I laughed because I used to watch Ren & Stimpy when it first started back in 1991. It was such a weird show for it's time. The roses socks aren't really my style and originally I thought I might gift them, but after looking at them for a couple of days they are starting to grow on me.

Verdict: If like to express yourself through socks then this box is for you!

I even like the bag this month! I really like the way the Clinique lip stick feels and it's a light color just enough to add a little something but not enough where I need a mirror to apply it.

Verdict: This months bag was perfect.

My dog liked getting a variety of treats to try and I thought it was fun to open the box with her. I'm wondering how she is going to like the dehydrated food, she usually only gets dry food but likes a little wet food every now and then.

Verdict: I like these sample boxes. If you see one come up for sale jump on it because they go quick.

July Robb Vices box

Robb Vices is a monthly subscription box focused on exceptional products, food, accessories, etc. Each box is curated and comes with a booklet that tells the story of the items in the box. This box is for those who enjoy the finer things and appreciate the history or story behind it. I only say that because this box is not inexpensive. The price is $89.95 per month plus shipping. I subscribe to the Robb Report magazine and very much enjoy reading it. If you subscribe to the magazine they offer a discount on the box. I researched previous boxes and liked what I saw so I subscribed.

Price: $74.95 per month plus shipping w/discounts for 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions.

The Good:

Products: The products are high end, artisan and great quality.

Information: The include booklet is a wealth of information on the products.

Referral Program: Refer 3 friends and get a free box.

Alcohol: Sometimes they include alcohol which I'm a big fan of.

The Not So Good:

Price: The price is high for a monthly box of surprise items.

Auto-Renew. I don't care much for auto-renew especially on a box with a high price tag.

Clase Azul tequila and Daridan's fruit crisps

Contents of the Robb Vices Box:

Clase Azul 20th Anniversary Tequila. Value = $200.00

The total value of this box is about $202.00. I was super happy to see this in the box this month. While we aren't huge tequila drinkers I like having a high end tequila around for the occasional drink. If you aren't a tequila drinker or think you don't like it, give good quality tequila a try and sip it don't shoot it. Good tequila is meant to be sipped not slammed at a bar. Quality makes all the difference.

Verdict: This Robb Vices box was a win.

The not so good:

Skip: Their website is not user friendly.  I couldn't find an option to skip or cancel.

Products: You are likely to end up with products you won't use. The good news is the value is so high it's usually still a good value.

July BeautyFIX box

I tried to glycine boxy wash but it didn't feel very exfoliating. The eyeshadow is pretty but it looks a little red. Hopefully it's not redish around the eyes.

Verdict: This was a pretty good box for me.

July GlossyBox

GlossyBox is a monthly subscription box for beauty items. Each month GlossyBox will send a box of 5 beauty products in a pink reusable box. I know I'll use the face serum also since it has SPF30. I'm also in love with the Julep lip oil. I have a couple of the other tinted ones but this one is clear. I already tossed it in my purse for daily use. The argan oil is a great travel size and I like to use oils on my hair when I'm traveling.

Verdict: This box was a fantastic box for me.

Love with Food is a monthly subscription box filled with food. They offer a tasting size box and a deluxe size box. Price: $9.99 a month with a discount for 6 and 12 month plans. No option to skip.

This subscription is only available in the US and ships from Santa Clara, California.

The good:

I didn't do a breakdown of this box. If you look at my previous reviews they usually come in at the $8-$10 range. This box is just a great box if you like snacks and trying new snacks. I've discovered quite a few things that we now purchase because of these boxes. Also LWF makes it easy because you can order direct from their website.

Verdict:  This Love with Food box had some yummy items in it.

July ipsy bag

Contents of ipsy bag w/approximate value:

1.3 oz. Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream. Value = $10.00

.25 Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Cleansing Gel. Value = $1.82

FULL SIZE Ciaté Wonderland gel eyeliner in black. Value = $18.00

IBY Beauty Crease Brush. Value = $12.00

.06 oz. M Princess pressed eyeshadow in Biscuit.  Value = $15.00

gudetama makeup bag.

The approximate value of this months bag is approximately $56.82. This makeup bag was very strange to me. It looked like a egg with a face. I looked it up and apparently that's exactly what it is. It's a Sanrio character named gudetama the lazy egg and from what I read he has a serious case of depression. Such a strange little character.
On to the products; I'm pretty excited about the products. Most of them I'm familiar with the brand but the actual product is new. I'm a fan of gel eyeliners because they stay on all day and are easy to use. I wish the color wasn't black but I'll still use it. Hand cream is always a useful item for me. I'm sort of overloaded with makeup brushes so I might save this for a gift bag. The eyeshadow is a nice neutral color. The cleansing gel is perfect travel size and you know I love a good travel size product.

Verdict: I'm happy with this bag.
