April Robb Vices Box

Robb Vices is a monthly subscription box focused on exceptional products, food, accessories, etc. Each box is curated and comes with a booklet that tells the story of the items in the box. This box is for those who enjoy the finer things and appreciate the history or story behind it. I only say that because this box is not inexpensive. The price is $89.95 per month plus shipping. I subscribe to the Robb Report magazine and very much enjoy reading it. If you subscribe to the magazine they offer a discount on the box. I researched previous boxes and liked what I saw so I subscribed.

Price: $74.95 per month plus shipping w/discounts for 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions.

The Good:

Products: The products are high end, artisan and great quality.

Information: The include booklet is a wealth of information on the products.

Referral Program: Refer 3 friends and get a free box.

Alcohol: Sometimes they include alcohol which I'm a big fan of.

The Not So Good:

Price: The price is high for a monthly box of surprise items.

Auto-Renew. I don't care much for auto-renew especially on a box with a high price tag.

May Robb Vices Box

Contents of the Robb Vices Box:

Macari Vineyards Rosé. Value = $24.99

Real Oyster Cult code for 20 oysters. Value = $39.00-$75.00

Soireehome Tempour. Value = $49.99

Dana Confections Nougat. Value = $6.00

Vacavaliente Leather Wine Bag. Value = $40.00?

Vacavaliente Leather Wine Rack. Value = $55.00

(2) The Drop Rosé canned wine. Value = $5.00/ea.

The total value of this box is about $185.98 not including the code for the oysters. I know there are many people out there that don't like oysters and won't use this card. I happen to love oysters and checking out their website I'm totally excited about ordering! This box was a perfect match for me. I love wine, I love food and I've been thinking about redoing my bar area and was looking for a wine rack. I love this simple leather rack. I think I'm going to see if I can trade for a couple more. I'm very curious about the canned wine. Everything in my soul tells me no, no, no but if Robb Vices gives it a thumbs up it's worth a try. I love the design of the tempour, specifically that the chiller is removable. I can't wait to use it with that bottle of rosé.

Verdict: This Robb Vices box was a big hit for me!

April BeautyFIX by Dermstore

The BeautyFIX by Dermstore is a monthly subscription box for beauty items. Each month Dermstore will send out a BeautyFIX box filled with skin care, makeup and hair care with a value of at least $100. The good:

Price: They send great products with a value of at least $100 that's 3-4 times the price of the box.

Want more: Since they have a retail website reordering is easy and all these products were easily found.

Referrals: If you refer someone that person gets $10 off a purchase of $30 or more and you get $10.

Discount: They offer a discount if you want to purchase an item from your box.

The not so good:

Price: This is one of the higher priced subscriptions but the products are usually high end.

Skip: Their website is not user friendly.  I couldn't find an option to skip or cancel.

Products: You are likely to end up with products you won't use. The good news is the value is so high it's usually still a good value.

Referrals: It's not a clickable link for referrals. You have to send an invite via email.

May BeautyFIX box.

Contents of BeautyFIX w/approximate retail price from Dermstore listed:

NuFace Prep-N-Glow Cloth. Value = $1.00

.18oz. Cotz Face Natural Tint SPF40. Value = $2.40

SmartFX Smartlash Advanced. Value = $49.95

.5oz. Tula Skincare Hydrating Day & Night Cream. Value = $15.29

The total approximate value of of this BeautyFIX box is $113.94. This months box wasn't as exciting as last month. The hero item is the smartlash and I've tried it before. I was hoping for results but I didn't see any. I will use the Cotz, NuFace, Ahava, and the wash cloth which those items pay for the box itself. I might try the tan lotion. I've been wanting to try something on my face and this says it's good for your face.

Verdict: Ok box this month but a couple of useful items.

May Love with Food snack box

Love with Food is a monthly subscription box filled with food. They offer a tasting size box and a deluxe size box. I had been a subscriber to the deluxe size box but the values were consistently low so I canceled that subscription. The tasting box is $9.99 a month and contains about 8 snacks in the box.

Price: $9.99 a month with a discount for 6 and 12 month plans. No option to skip.

This subscription is only available in the US and ships from Santa Clara, California.

The good:

Variety: You get a lot of variety in each box.

Discounts: You can earn points for discounts off future full size product purchases by submitting reviews on their website or referring new members.

The not so good:

I really can't think of anything I don't like about this box.

May Love with Food snack box

Contents of Love with Food tasting box.

Sensible Foods Apple Harvest Crunch Dried Fruit.

Route 11 Dill Pickle Kettle Potato Chips.

Made Good Chocolate Banana Granola Bar.

Lance Gluten Free Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers.

Mandy's Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins.

Dolcetto Cookies & Cream Wafer Bites.

La Panzanella Multigrain Croccantini Crackers.

Bakery on Main Maple Multigrain Muffin Oatmeal.

Wowbutter Toasted Soy Butter Spread.

I didn't do a breakdown of this box. If you look at my previous reviews they usually come in at the $8-$10 range. This box is just a great box if you like snacks and trying new snacks. I've discovered quite a few things that we now purchase because of these boxes. Also LWF makes it easy because you can order direct from their website.

Verdict:  This Love with Food box had some yummy items in it.

May ipsy bag

ipsy sends out a glam bag with 4-5 samples and a makeup bag for $10 a month with shipping included. If you sign up yearly it's $110 which brings the price down the $9.16 a month with shipping included.  I've been with them since 2011 and this is one subscription I am for sure keeping. They constantly have a high product value with products that I use.

Price: $10 a month with no option to skip. Discount offered for a yearly subscription.

This subscription is available to the US and Canada and ships from Harrisburg, NC.

***I have 1 invite for a free glam bag. It's for first time subscribers only!***

The not so good:

Skip a month? There is no option to skip a month.  You have to cancel.

May ipsy bag

2.25 oz. Hempz Pomegranate body moisturizer. Value = $4.79

.34 oz. pur-lisse BB tinted moisturizer cream. Value = $8.54

.08 oz. Urban Decay Afterglow 8-hour powder highlighter. Value = $9.25

Pacifica Island Life Mineral eyeshadow palette.  Value = $10.00??

clear makeup bag with ice cream print.

The approximate value of this months bag is approximately $37.58.   I'm really liking this months goodies. I've been using tinted moisturizer more because I'm having some issues with melasma. A lot of them don't have SPF or enough SPF but this has SPF30 so I'm pretty happy about that. I think I might also try using some highlighter more to detract from the melasma. I'm up to my eyeballs in eyeliner but one more won't kill me. The pacifica palatte is gorgeous! I love the colors and it's perfect to pack in a travel bag.

Verdict: I'm happy with this bag.

The total value of this box is $13.99. The description reads like it's a magical product. It can be used on cuts, blisters, diaper rashes, insect bites, sunburns, blisters, scars, cracked skin, and more. I have a terrible habit of picking at the side of my fingernails then they end up all sore and crappy looking. I think I'm going to try this and see if I can fix myself up

Verdict: I'm still very happy with this subscription.

May Graze Box 8 snack pack

Graze sends out a box of four snack size containers of dried fruit, nuts, crackers, dip and dippers, etc.  The boxes are semi-customizable meaning you don't actually get to pick which items you want but you can rate the items you receive from love to never send me this again.  The cost of the box is $11.99 per shipment. You can also choose how often you want the boxes. I have mine set up for every four weeks.

Price: $11.99 per 8 pack shipment or $6.99 per 4 pack. This subscription ships to the US only, except Hawaii and Alaska.

Use Code: ANISHA6PP and get your 1st and 5th Box Free!

The good:

Like Snacks: Are you a snacker like me?  These are perfectly proportioned snack size containers.

Nutritional info: The include nutritional info in each box. It's on the card in the package though, not the actual product which is kind of a bummer.

Skip: You can do this online through your account and it's super easy.

Semi-customizable: You rate items and that's how they choose which items to send you.

Special Diet or preference: You can choose from high protein, low carb, low sugar, low calories, savory, sweet treats, etc.

Gift: This is a great gift for a college student. I just send one to the teenager because she is always raiding our stash when she comes over.

OuiPlease Vol. 2.6 Spring Box Review of two different boxes

The OuiPlease is a box full of Parisian treasures that ships 6 times a year. The price of the box is quite high at $150 per shipment. You can also subscribe yearly for $650 bringing the price of the box down to $108. Per the OuiPlease website your special delivery will feature a surprise selection of products, including the very best France has to offer in beauty, jewelry, accessories, apparel, home and epicure and have a value of at least $300.

Every now and then they have a 20%-30% off code that can be used on yearly subscriptions and brings the price down to $520 or $455. I was lucky enough to find one for 30% off so this box was only $75. The bad part is it's an overlap box with my previous subscription.

This month I received two boxes. I renewed my subscription thinking it had ended but I guess I still had one more shipment left. The good news is I received two different boxes.

Price: $108-$150 every two months depending on subscription commitment.

The Good:

Luxury products: The boxes are filled with name brands that would be considered luxurious.

Variety: This box isn't just beauty products. It will have jewelry, apparel, home goods, etc.

Information: They include their own magazine that talks about the products in the box as well as other products.

Pricing Structure: They offer one-time, monthly or yearly subscriptions. It would be nice to see a 6 month (3 box) subscription tier.

The Not So Good

Price: The price is way high but at the same time you will hopefully get what you pay for.

Referrals: I would like to see a referral program. If you can convince someone to spend this much money on a box you should get a little thank you treasure.

OuiPlease Box #1

Contents of the Volume 2.6 OuiPlease Box #1:

Camille Enrico Loreto Gold Necklace. Value = $200.00

Les interchangeables pinky beige flower bracelet. Value = $60.00 or $39.00 (on the les interchangeables website)

la cocotte Paris pochette. Value = $45.00

Leonor Greyl Paris Shampoo Creme de Bamboo. Value = $55.00

Leonor Greyl Paris Mask A L'Orchidee. Value = $65.00

Sabe Masson La Reine Soleil. Value = $35.00

Sophie. M Sucres D'orge candies. Value = $15.00

The value of this box is $454.00-$475.00. I'm pretty excited to try this expensive fancy French shampoo. The necklace has a great value but it's not really my style. I absolutely love the pochette, it's thick and feels like coated canvas. The perfume is a solid and would be good for traveling. They keep putting the les interchangeable bracelets in these boxes. I like them but I always forget to wear them.

OuiPlease Box #2

Contents of the Volume 2.6 OuiPlease Box #1:

Les interchangeables black flower bracelet. Value = $60.00 or $39.00 (on the les interchangeables website)

la cocotte Paris pochette. Value = $45.00

Annee Paris cotton headband. Value = $45.00

Leonor Greyl Paris Shampoo Creme de Bamboo. Value = $55.00

Leonor Greyl Paris Mask A L'Orchidee. Value = $65.00

Sabe Masson Macadam Paz. Value = $35.00

Sophie. M Violettes candies. Value = $15.00

The value of this box is $299.00-$320.00. I received a different pochette, color les interchangeable bracelet and fragrance scent in this box. I was disappointed that there was no jewelry item but instead a headband that they value at $45.00. It's cute but no way in the world would a pay $45 for a thin piece of cotton.

Verdict: As you can see there is a considerable value difference in the two boxes. I don't think it's reasonable to send one person a $200 necklace and another a $45 piece of cotton. Also it seems there was suppose to be nail polish in the box that no one seemed to get. I have mixed feelings on this box. I like the higher end products but I wish they were more consistent with sending people equal values or at least close to it.

April Robb Vices box

Contents of the Robb Vices Box:

Stellé Audio Pillar. Value = $299.00

Braven Flye Sport wireless earbuds. Value = $49.00

Gardens: An Essay on the Human Condition book. Value = $15.00

K + M Extravirgin Ecuador blend chocolate bar. Value = $15.00

Set of 4 José Andrés mini olive oils. Value = $4.00?

SoulCycle Pass. Value = $20.00

Equinox Gym Personal Training Session. Value = $100.00

Complimentary Specialty item at José Andrés restaurant. Value = $0?

Gift card for $250 toward purchase of Maya Romanoff wall coverings. Value = $0

The total value of this box is $382.00 in tangible products. I didn't include the gift cards because I can't use them. I don't have any of these businesses near me with is kind of a bummer. Even without being able to use the gift cards this box is incredible! The first thing I noticed was the covering inside the box was different. I figured it had something to do with the contents. Turns out it was a sample of the wall coverings they are including a gift certificate for. Pretty clever!
I can't believe they included this speaker in the box. We've been looking at some type of speaker system so this is perfect! I've also been wanting wireless earbuds but I have a really nice pair of wired Bose earbuds so spending money for wireless seemed kind of frivolous. Robb Vices to the rescue! I now have my wireless earbuds. I've also been wanting to try Thomas Keller's chocolate bars since they first came out but #1 they were hard to find and #2 spending $15 on a chocolate bar seemed outrageous even if it's made by one of the greatest chefs in the world. Again Robb Vices to the rescue! I can have my chocolate and eat it too! The other goodies are just icing on the cake. I'm a fan of José Andrés and the book is not something I would probably pick up on my own but since I have it I'll read it. Robb Vices is also doing their first giveaway. They are collaborating with David Rockwell and Maya Romanoff. One lucky person will win $2000 custom wall covering and a one-on-one consultation with David Rockwell and his team.

Verdict: This Robb Vices box was a big hit for me!

I love all of the stuff in this months box and the lipstick is such a pretty color! I can't believe the Vet Effect lip treatment is so expensive but hey if it prevents wrinkles I'm all for it. I'm in my 40's now so wrinkles are something I need to start thinking about.

Verdict: Great box for full size and high end products.

Verdict: This months bag was a hit for me.
