February Taste Guru Box

Do you live a gluten free lifestyle? Or maybe you know someone who is gluten free? Taste Guru is a whole box of food that is gluten free. Each month Taste Guru sends out a box of gluten free foods that have been tested and reviewed by those who live a gluten free life. The box is shipped monthly and the prices ranges from $20 to $24 a month depending on which plan you sign up for. All plans include shipping.

Last month was my final box of my paid subscription but I got a surprise email from the folks at Taste Guru saying then sent me a complimentary box for February. I thought that was super awesome.

Price: $24 a month with discounts for 3, 6 and 12 month plans.

This box ships to the USA only from Denver, Colorado.

The good:

Gluten free made easy: This is a great way to try a whole bunch of gluten free foods.

Need a gift: I think this would make a great gift for the gluten free person in your life.

The not so good:

I'm was having issues with my subscription but I'm hoping that's not typical with everyone else.

February Taste Guru Box

Contents of Taste Guru Box with approximate retail value:

Better Batter Fudge Brownie Mix. Value = $5.99

Tea's Tea Green Tea. Value = $1.35

Level Life Protein Snack Bar. Value = $1.75

.7 oz. Dang Coconut Chips. Value = $1.47

Mamma Chia Squeeze Blackberry BlissValue = $1.75

(2) 1 oz. Yum Earth Natural Sour Beans. Value = $0.75/ea.

1 oz. Ass Kickin Honey Roasted Peanut. Value = $0.79

1 oz. IPS Egg White Chips. Value = $1.75

Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread. Value = $0.44

Swoofle Traditional Dutch Treat. Value = $1.81

The total value of this box is $18.60. This box is a little lower than previous months but it also didn't include a magazine this month. Most of these products I'm familiar with. The boyfriend opened the box and was disappointed to see a brownie mix and not actual brownies. I don't think he even noticed it's gluten and allergen free. In his mind that means they won't be as good as regular brownies. I think I will make them this weekend and see what he says. I was super sad there was only one swoofle in the box because we both loves those things. Honestly I was trying to hide it from him but he found it. I've tried the chia squeeze before and while I wasn't a huge fan it wasn't too bad. Super stoked about the Dang coconut chips. I love those things and eat them right out of the bag.

Verdict: I like this box and most of the time the value is close to the price paid. I may reconsider signing up.

February Taste Trunk - Gourmet Trunk

Taste Trunk is a food based subscription box. I love food, especially gourmet food so I didn't hesitate to sign up for this box. Taste Trunk actually has four different themed trunks you can purchase. They are Gourmet, Health, Sweet and BBQ trunk. I love that they have something for everyone. I was torn between the BBQ one and the Gourmet one but ended up choosing the Gourmet one. The nice thing about Taste Trunk allows you to switch your boxes at anytime. I keep thinking I'm going to try the BBQ one at some point but I'm really liking this trunk.

Price: $35.00 a month with no option to skip.

The good:

Products: The items in my box are gourmet and full size.

Info: They send info cards with products information and recipes.

Variety: I love that they have four different themed boxes.

Want more: They have an online store where you can purchase more of the things you love.

Change it up: Want a different trunk next month. You can change your trunks by emailing them

The Not So Good:

Skip: Doesn't look like there is a way to skip, only cancel.

Referral program: They have one but you have to enter the persons full name when you check out and they get 10% off their next box. I like referral programs that use links and have discounts or bonus items for both people.

February Taste Trunk

Contents of The Fancy Food Box with approximate retail price listed:

Maison de Monaco Raspberry & Violet Preserves from San Francisco, CA. Value = $6.00

CC Made Dark Chocolate Caramel Sauce from San Anselmo, CA. Value = $12.00

Two Snooty Chefs' Oaxaca Molé, from Seattle, WA. Value = $5.95

Seattle Chocolates Total Toffee Milk Chocolate Truffle Bar from Seattle, WA. Value = $3.50

Seattle Chocolates Pink Bubbly Bubbly Raspberry Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar from Seattle, WA. Value = $3.50 - I wasn't sure what to expect in this candy but I certainly wasn't expecting pop rocks. It was crackly and fun.

F.A. Ninos Chocolate Chipotle Adobo Sauce from Petaluma, CA. Value = $8.00

The total value of this months box is $38.95. This is always such a yummy box. This months box definitely had a chocolate theme to it. I was just having a conversation with someone the other day about how delicious molé is so this came at the perfect time because I'm craving molé now. The last thing I should be eating is chocolate bars and caramel sauce but boy oh boy are they delicious! I've had both of these brands before and they are delicious. I'm hoping the adobo sauce isn't too spicy because it sure does sound good.

Verdict: I enjoy this box but my pantry is super overloaded with jars of stuff right now. I've canceled this one for now but when my pantry lightens up I'll be back.

Purity Organic Watermelon Strawberryade. Value = $2.83

1.7 oz. bag Oskri Crunches Pecans & Raisins. Value = $1.50

.36 oz. bag Crispy Fruit Cantaloupe. Value = $1.59

.7 oz bag of Pork Clouds. Value = $1.50 - I'm always happy to get these, they are delicious!

Unreal Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. Value = $0.75 - This was good but dark chocolate would've been better.

1.5 oz. Nunes Farms Sweet Chipotle Almonds. Value = $1.35

Purps Vita Drink Mix. Value = $2.08

Bounce Natural Energy Balls in Coconut & Macadamia. Value = $1.84

1 oz. Bakery on Main Gluten Free Granola in Apple Raisin Walnut. Value = $1.29

.85 oz. bag Made Good Strawberry Granola Minis. Value = $1.25

The total value of this box is $18.60. I paid $19 so it's even in value. I was unfamiliar with most of the snacks in this box. There is nothing in this box that we won't try, although it had 4 granola type things in it.

Verdict: This box was great since I only paid $19 but at the regular monthly price of $29 it would've been disappointing.

February Conscious Box - Classic Box

Conscious box offers 3 types of boxes. The classic, vegan and gluten free.  Each box contains a wide variety of items from food to beauty products to household goodies.  The price is $19.95 a month with shipping included. They also have a 3, 6 and 12 months plans. The 12 month plan is the only one that offers a discount.

Price: $19.95 a month. The 12 month pre-paid plan offers a discount.

The good:

Variety: You get a wide variety of items and the box was packed!

Vegan: If your vegan the vegan box is great for you.

Gluten free: If you live a gluten free life the gluten free box would be great for you.

Information: They now include an information card with product details on it.

Points: You can earn points for rating products. The points earn you discounts should you want to purchase something you like.

The not so good:

The price: It's on the high side for subscription boxes but I would consider this a specialty box for sure.

Sample size: Some of the sample sizes are really small and not enough to really evaluate the product.

February Conscious Box

Contents of Conscious Box

Amazing Grass Amazing Meals in Vanilla Chai Infusion. Value = $2.67

1 oz. pkt. Green shield Organic Free & Clear Laundry Detergent. Value = $0.20

Infusion Science Youth Fusion drink mix. Value = $1.33

Kind Bar, Strong & Kind Honey Smoked BBQ. Value = $1.50

Mayésa Cacao Drink in Mint. Value = $2.42

Smartypants Kids Complete Vitamins. Value = $0.42

.34 oz. Dr. Jacobs Castile Soap in Eucalyptus. Value = $0.16

.34 oz. Dr. Jacobs Castile Soap in Almond Honey. Value = $0.16

The total approximate value of this months box is $13.68. This box while low in value did have some products I'm interested in trying. The laundry detergent is new to me. I also can't remember if I've tried this flavor of Amazing Meal but I love chai. I also like Kind Bars and this flavor is new to me. I remember trying the Dr. Jacobs soap when I got it in a previous months box and I don't recall being too impressed with it. I do remember liking the Mayésa drink so that was exciting to see. I received the shave oil in another box and tried using it in the shower but it was a failure. I guess it's something to be used while your skin is dry.

Verdict: Like last month I'm not thrilled with the value but the products are useful.

February Beauty Box 5

Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service for beauty products including makeup, skin care, fragrances, nail care, body care, beauty tool and just about anything else beauty related.  Each month you receive 4-5 samples of beauty related items.  They have three ways to subscribe.  You can pay monthly for $12 a month, or quarterly $30 which brings the price down to $10 a month or yearly for $100 which brings the price down to $8.33 a month.  Shipping is included in all these prices.

Price: $12 a month with no option to skip. Discounts for 3 and 12 month plans.

This subscription ships the the US and Canada from Austin, Texas.

The good:

The brands. Well known brands including some eco-friendly ones.

The pricing structure.  I like the options they have, monthly, quarterly and yearly.  Even the quarterly gives you a little bit of a discount.

Information: They have started including an information cards on the products in the boxes which I love

The not so good:

Skip a month. Currently there is no option for this.  If you want to skip you have to cancel.

February Beauty Box 5

Contents of box with approximate retail value.

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Vanilla Frosting. Value = $22.50

Revlon Colorstay nail enamel in Velvet Rope. Value = $3.99

Absolute Love Strawberry Lip Balm. Value = $5.00

Avon Big Color Eye Pencil in natural vibe. Value = $3.49

GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. Value = $6.90

BB5 Bonus: To celebrate their birthday

yourMinerals $20 gift card. Value = $?? - You have to spend at least $7 to use this. Still a good deal though if you like this brand.

The total approximate value of this month's box is $41.88. I received the glamglow in another box and although it wasn't as exciting as everyone made it out to be I liked it and still use it. I'm not too excited about the Revlon nail polish because I already have so many reds. I was surprised to see Avon in the box but when I went to the Avon website to find swatches I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm wondering if it's a discontinued product. I'm really excited to try the Marsk eye shadow although I wish it were another color.

Verdict: This was a fun box. The eyeshadow alone paid for the box.

February Allure Sample Society Box

The Allure Sample Society beauty box is a monthly service for beauty products that promises 5 fresh deluxe sized samples from luxury brands designed for multiple uses.  You also receive a coupon each month for $15 off a $50 purchase from Beauty Bar and a 12 month subscription to Allure magazine.  The cost for this subscription is $15.00 a month with shipping included.

Price: $15.00 a month with no option to skip.

The good:

The samples: You get deluxe sized samples from luxury brands.

Magazine: You get a free 12 month subscription to Allure magazine.  If you already subscribe they will extend your subscription and if you don't want it you can mail in a form for a refund on the value ($12)

Coupon: They send you a coupon with each box for $15 off a $50 purchase. The catch is your order has to include at least one item from a brand you received that month.  It doesn't have to be the item you received just the same brand.

Referrals: It's a win/win. You get a $5 credit on your account or you can donate that to charity and the person you refer gets a 20% discount on their first purchase at Beauty Bar.

The not so good:

Skip a month: There is no option to skip a month, only cancel.

Contents of box with approximate retail value.

.04 oz. Chloé Love Story perfume. Value = $1.83

Nügg Deep Cleaning Face Mask pot. Value = $2.99

Nügg Hydrating Face Mask pot. Value = $2.99

Nügg Revitalizing Face Mask pot. Value = $2.99

.25 oz. StriVectin Intensive Illuminating Serum. Value = $22.25

1.6 oz. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush. Value = $4.00

FULL SIZE Nails Inc. nail polish in Princess Palace. Value = $9.00

The total value of this box is $46.05. If you've been reading my blog for awhile you know I'm a big fan of the face masks. I was surprised these little pots were $3 each though, seems kind of high. I'm not a fan of the nail polish color and the name, in my opinion, doesn't fit at all. Nothing about that color says Princess or Palace to me. StriVectin is a high end brand. I've used a couple of items from them but so far nothing mind blowing has happened. I'm swimming in dry shampoo and I don't use it. Is there another use for it except using it between shampoos?

Verdict: This box almost always fun products and a great value.

February Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag - Large

Rainbow Honey is a nail polish that is sold mostly online. I believe they have one retailer in the US in San Diego, CA. Each Rainbow Honey mystery bag will have sneak peaks and preview of new lacquers, unreleased samples of future collections and exciting new products made by the Rainbow Honey Lab! They have two sizes of mystery bag mini and full size. The mini mystery bag is $10 plus shipping which I think is $3.95. The full size  mystery bag is $25 and includes shipping. The difference between the two bags, besides price is size of the products. The mini mystery bag will have the mini size bottles of nail polish and smaller versions of whatever is included in the bag. I debated on which one to get because I actually like the smaller bottle of nail polish. I have so many polishes that I never finish a bottle so the small ones are perfect for me. Then I thought for only $11 more I can get full size versions of everything. Decisions, decisions. Finally I decided on the full size mystery bag.

Price: Small $13.95, Full size $25. Also available as a free gift with $65 purchase.

The good:

Price: $25 is kind of a lot on a subscription but $14 (with shipping) isn't so bad. I like that  they have two different price points.

Love what you got: The have a website full of stuff you can order.

Booklet: The include a booklet with info on the products.

The not so good:

Skip a month: I don't see a skip option.

tsukimi, glow cloud and crimson nebula

Contents of the large mystery bag.

FULL SIZE nail polish in Tsukimi, shimmery violet sea of holo and iridescent glitters. Value = $10.00

FULL SIZE nail polish in Glow Cloud, glitter topper of flakes and prismatic glitter and shimmer. Value = $10.00

FULL SIZE nail polish in Crimson Nebula, holographic star dust. Value = $10.00

FULL SIZE Carnival Candy Pefume Oil. Value = $9.00

FULL SIZE Carnival Candy Cuticle Balm. Value = $4.00

FULL SIZE Carnival Candy Foot Massage Lotion. Value = $8.00??

The value of the mystery bag is at least $51.00. I love the colors in this months bag AND I love that they send 3 polishes as opposed to a top or base coat. The foot lotion is new but since it's a lotion I would say it would be the same price as their body lotions. I've been trying to put lotion on my feel every night before I go to bed. It's been unseasonably warm in northern California and I'm already wearing my sandals. It's never to early to prep the feet for summer. I've realized I like spray perfumes as opposed to rollerballs because I like to have the scent on my clothes as well. I will still use this though. I also like oil based cuticle oil instead of balms because they are easier to put on, but the balm is not as messy.

Verdict: I still enjoy these bags and I now have quite a large RH collection.

February ipsy - ipsyLove

Ipsy bag sends out 4-5 samples and a makeup bag for $10 a month with shipping included. If you sign up yearly it's $110 which brings the price down the $9.16 a month with shipping included.  I've been with them since 2011 and this is one subscription I am for sure keeping. They constantly have a high product value with products that I use.

Price: $10 a month with no option to skip. Discount offered for a yearly subscription.

This subscription is available to the US and Canada and ships from Harrisburg, NC.

The good:

The samples: Usually you get at least one full size product in each bag.

The packaging: Each month the products come in a cute makeup bag for all your goodies.

Discounts: The almost always offer a discount on any additional purchases you want to make.

Semi-customized: You take a little quiz and your bag is semi-customized with products you will enjoy.

Points: You can earn points for reviews and referrals. You can redeem points for extra goodies in your bag.

The not so good:

Skip a month? There is no option to skip a month.  You have to cancel.

Renewal. If your a yearly subscriber they automatically charge your credit card for another year when the paid for year is up. I think they should sent out an email prior reminding you that your year is almost up and it will automatically renew.

February ispy bag

Contents of bag with value and approximate retail price:

.34 oz. Mitchell and Peach Flora No. 1 Fine Radiance Facial Oil. Value = $17.11

FULL SIZE NYX Silver eye shimmer pencil. Value = $3.50

Model Co. Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini. Value = $9.91

FULL SIZE Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in First Love. Value = $10.00

FULL SIZE City Color Lip Stain in Flirtini. Value = $4.99

cute pink, white and beige makeup bag.

The approximate value of this months bag is $45.50. I'm pretty happy with this bag. I'm super happy with the makeup bag, it's really cute. I was shocked at how expensive the facial oil is. With a price like that I have to try it. I don't use blush so into the swap pile it will go. The eye pencil says it is an eye/eyebrow pencil. Ummm I'm not too sure I want to put silver on my eyebrows but I'll definitely use it on my eyes. I like the color of the lip stain and even though I'm partial to sprays I do like the Demeter scents.

Verdict: This was a pretty good bag for me minus the blush.

February Raw Spice Bar

Do you love cooking with new foods and spices? Then you have to check out RawSpiceBar. A few months ago the folks at RawSpiceBar contacted me and offered to sponsor a 2 month subscription giveaway to a lucky reader. I thought this subscription was absolutely genius and was thrilled at the chance to do a giveaway. They also sent me this package free to review. The service started in January so this is their second month but so far I'm only hearing good things. Each month you will receive 3-4 whole spices or spice blends along with a recipe to use them. Each recipe will use the include spice and will make 8-10 servings. The price of this subscription is just $6.00 a month with shipping included. You have to sign up for a minimum 3 month subscription.

Price: $6.00 a month (minimum 3 month subscription) w/ shipping included. Discounts for 6 and 12 month subscriptions. Ships to US and Canada.

The good:

Love to cook: If you love cooking with new foods and spices this a fun way to do it.

Know someone who loves to cook: This makes a great gift!

Price: $6 is a great low price.

Reduce waste: It's such a terrible thing to buy a jar of spice and have it go to waste. This allows you to try the spice without buying a whole jar.

The not so good:

Skip: I don't see an option to skip or pause your subscription.

I received this envelope in the mail but it didn't say who it was from. I thought that was odd. The envelope size is about 6x9.

Inside the envelope was a note about this months spices.

This was another paper envelope that was inside the first envelope.

Inside the second envelope were the spices and recipes.

Contents of the RawSpiceBar envelope:

.5 oz. packet Rose & Chai Spices. Value = $1.00

.5 oz. packet Punjabi Garam Masala. Value = $1.00

.5 oz. packet Tandoori Spices. Value = $1.00

I put a value on here but it's not entirely accurate. I looked up the spices from a company I buy spices from. I would say they are equivalent in quality to this company. The reason I say the value isn't entirely accurate is because the spices from the company I buy from come in 8 oz. packets. So based on that I valued these at $1.00 each BUT just like with the food delivery companies if I bought these spices in the store I would have to buy the whole packet or jar. In the case of the spice company I use I would need to spend $24.00. Other places had smaller jars (about 3.5oz.) for about $4 a jar which would still be $12. The good part about buying the whole jar is if you like the spice you have more. The bad part is if you don't like it then you now have a whole jar of spice that you paid $4-$8 for and won't use. Bottom line is I think trying spices in this fashion is an excellent idea.

Verdict: I think this is a great subscription and I've already signed up.

February Nibblr Box

Nibblr is a snack box company very similar to Graze box. They send portion control snacks all wrapped up in a little sealed box. Each shipment contains four snack boxes. You can choose to receive a shipment every week, every other week or once a month. You don't get to choose which snacks you receive but they have rating system on their website for the snacks they send. Your ratings will determine snacks in future shipments. They have 59 different boxes so they is surely something for everyone. The price per shipment is $6.99 which includes shipping. You can choose to pay for four boxes at at time for $23 ($5.75/shipment) or twelve boxes for $66 ($5.50/shipment). Last April I found a deal through Gilt City to get twelve shipments for $40 which makes it under a $1 per snack pack or $3.33 per shipment. That sounded like a great deal to me. I opted to have my boxes shipped once a month. I don't always post about this box but since my subscription is ending next month I thought I would do one.

Price: $6.99 per shipment with discounts offered for prepaying for 4 or 12 boxes. Ships to the US only (except Alaska and Hawaii) from Bohemia, NY

The good:

Snacker? If you're a snacker like me this is a perfect little box. Portion controlled and portable.

Nutritional info: Printed on the back of the container which I love.

Customize shipments: You can choose how often you want a box. Choose wisely though I couldn't see a way online to change it back. Also you get to rate the items and say love it, like it, interested or no thanks.

Referral: Use my referral code 4051 when signing up and you will get a free box.

The not so good:

Price: Depending on how you pay the price ranges from $1.37-$1.75 a box.

Skip: I couldn't find any sort of skip or vacation hold option although it says they have one online.

Contents of box:

Harvest Blend, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin seeds, and pecans snack mix. - yummy mix!

7th Inning Stretch, corn nuts and flax sea salt pretzel pearls snack mix.

Not-So-Stick Bun, graham cookies, cinnamon praline almonds, and almonds snack mix.

Chocolate Cherry Jubilee, cherry infused cranberries and dark chocolate snack mix.

I'm excited about the 7th inning stretch mix, sounds delicious. I also think I'm going to stash the chocolate box for myself. This one look too delicious to share.

Verdict: I like these boxes for the convenience and portability but the price is high.

February Love with Food - Deluxe Box

Love with Food is a monthly subscription box filled with food. They now offer a deluxe size version of the box which contains 16-20 new snack foods. The price of this deluxe version is $19.95 a month with shipping included. You can also sign up for a 6 or 12 month plan each which will save you a couple of dollars a month. Also for each deluxe box purchased 2 meals are donated to hungry children in America.

Price: $19.95 a month with a discount for 6 and 12 month plans. No option to skip.

This subscription is only available in the US and ships from Santa Clara, California.

The good:

Bigger is better? I know some people don't like that the regular box is so small but it also comes with a small price tag. This deluxe box would be better suited for those with more than 2 people in their house. No more fighting over the tasty snacks!

Variety: You get a lot of variety in each box.

Discounts: You can earn points for discounts off future full size product purchases by submitting reviews on their website or referring new members.

The not so good:

I really can't think of anything I don't like about this box.

Contents of box with approximate retail value from Love with Food:

(2) .7 oz. Dolcetto Lemon Wafer Bites. Value = $0.83/ea. - These are amazing. I could eat a whole LWF box filled with these!

(2) Monbana Traditional Hot Chocolate. Value = $0.70/ea.

(2) 1.5 oz. Boulder Canyon Olive Oil Potato Chips. Value = $0.85/ea. - Great chips, nice and thick with crunch.

(2) .75 oz. Snikiddy Baked Mac N' Cheese Puffs. Value = $0.94

(4) Divine Chocolate Milk Chocolate Mini Pieces. Value = $0.25/ea.

.88 oz. Rise Bar Energy + Organic Blueberry Coconut Bar. Value = $1.04

.88 oz. Rise Bar Protein + Almond Honey Bar. Value = $1.04

(4) Dilettante Toffee Crunch Trufflecremes. Value = $0.43/ea.

1.5 oz. Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins in cookie batter. Value = $0.94

.7 oz. Bacon's Heir Rosemary & Sea Salt Pork Clouds. Value = $2.33 - Such a guilty pleasure...

Purple Mardi Gras Beads

The total approximate value of this box is $14.87. The theme of this box is Mardi Gras. I'm a little disappointed in the value. I think a couple of more items could have been added to make it closer to $20. This was a delicious box though. It seemed we went from one snack to the next devouring the deliciousness. I have to get some more lemon wafer bites, those little things are sooo good!

If you use my referral link you can try the LWF snack box for just $2 shipping!

Verdict:  This Love with Food box is going to be delicious!

Natural Goal Probiotic Ultra Blend - FULL SIZE Bottle for $1.00 through Amazon

Recently the folks at Natural Goal contacted me and offered a free bottle of one of their supplements. They had three to choose from but since I've been looking for a good probiotic I opted for their probiotic supplement. I've tried probiotics before and I'm sure they had a positive effect on me but I couldn't "see" it. I started doing a little research and it turns out there are so many different probiotics or good bacteria and finding the right one for you can be a long process.

I received the  Natural Goal Probiotic and took one pill a day on an empty stomach as instructed. After a couple of days I noticed the bloating was gone and my digestive system was working like a well oiled machine! I didn't immediately attribute this to the supplements though. I stopped taking the probiotic for a few days and noticed I was a little bloated and my digestive system was not an efficient as the week prior. Could there be something to this? I started taking the probiotics again and I was back on track after a couple of days. I'm by no means a doctor or an expert on the probiotic subject but this brand and formula work for me. Maybe it could work for you too.

February Birchbox

Birchbox is a monthly subscription service for beauty items like makeup, skincare, fragrance, etc.  Each month you will receive 4-5 generously sized samples and sometimes full size beauty products.  The cost of this service is $10 w/shipping included.  They also have a yearly subscription which is $110 for the year bringing the cost down to $9.16 a month. I had canceled this subscription last year because I didn't like what they were sending me. A friend signed up and was getting some pretty cool items so I decided to sign up again.

Price: $10 a month or $110 a year pre-paid.

This subscription is available in the US only.

The good:

Name Brands.  You will receive items from Benefit, Stila, Pür, Essie, Kerastase, Tarte, etc.

Cost.  For $10 you can give yourself a little beauty treat.

Like surprises?  You don't know what's in your box until you receive it.  When you sign up you take a little quiz and the items in the box are supposed to be customized to you.  I have seen pictures of other peoples boxes and they do receive different items.

Discounts: They have a system where you earn points for referrals and things you buy.  The points allow you to receive discounts on future full size purchases from their shop.  They offer free shipping on items from the monthly box and a $5 flat shipping rate for items that don't qualify for free shipping.  This is a nice feature because if you want to order several different brands you get free or $5 shipping for everything.

Need a gift? You can gift a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription or you can purchase a gift card in any amount.  There also have a nice option with the gift subscriptions where you can choose to have the 1st box shipped you for giving and subsequent boxes will be shipped directly to the recipient.  Great birthday/holiday gift!

The not so good:

Skip a month?  Currently there is no option to skip a month only cancel.

Contents of box with approximate retail price/value listed.

.067 oz. Harvey Prince Ageless Pink Grapefruit Parfume. Value = $2.20

1.7 oz. Marcelle Gentle Make-up remover for sensitive eyes. Value = $3.20

2.5 ml. theBalm Cosmetics Read My Lips Bam! Lip Gloss Value = $4.24

.20 oz. Laura Gellar Beauty GlamLASH Dramatic Volumizing Mascara. Value = $17.14

1 oz. PARLOR by Jeff Chasten Sea Salt Spray. Value = $4.90

The total value of this box is $31.68. Summer must be right around the corner because I'm starting to see sea salt sprays making an appearance again. I actually like most of them but I've tried a few that left my hair feeling really dry. I like the color and the size of the lip gloss. I have enough mascara right now to last me at least 2 years. I have given a couple of them away but they are all different brands that I want to try. I like this smaller size though because them I can use it quicker and move on to the next one. I don't use eye make-up remover because I use the cleansing cloths so I will probably trade this.

The verdict: I thought this was a great box for me with only one item I won't use.
