December Urth Box

The Urth box tagline is "Discover a Healthier You". Well who doesn't want to do that? I found a deal on on Gilt for a 6 month subscription for $69. I thought for $12 a month, heck why not. Each month Urth box sends a box of healthy full size snacks for you to try. They have different types and sizes of boxes the choose from. You can choose a gluten free, diet, classic or vegan box. From that point you choose which size box you want. They have a small box (7-10 items) for $29 a month, medium box (12-15 items) for $39 a month, large box (20-24 items) for $59 a month. Shipping to US is included. If you choose a 3 or 6 month plan you can save up to $10 a month. So as you can see I got a really great deal on the small box plan.

Price: $29-$59 a month depending on size of box with discounts offered for 3 or 6 month subscriptions.

This box is available to US and Canada but extra shipping fees apply to Canada.

The Good:

Variety: They have a variety of boxes to choose from depending on your dietary needs.

Products: They send full size products which is awesome!

The Not So Good:

Price: The price is a little high for a monthly box.

Skip: It doesn't appear there any way to skip.

December Urth Box.

Contents of the Urth Box:

2.5 oz. The Good Bean Crispy Crunchy Chickpeas in Smoky Chili & lime. Value = $2.59 - whew! these were spicy!

1.75 oz. Ricky's Lucky Nuts Real Coffee. Value = $2.00

Positive Energy Orange Juice. Value = $1.99

1.5 oz. Chimes Ginger Chews. Value = $1.89

3 oz. Next by Nature Dark Chocolate Pretzels. Value = $2.96 - delicious chocolate covered pretzel

.7 oz. Frontier Bites Pecan Cherry Cinnamon. Value = $1.20

.53 oz. Bare Fruit Apple Chips in Sea Salt Caramel. Value = $1.03

.95 oz. Home Free Mini Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. Value = $1.95

.8 oz. Raw Rev 100 Spirulina Dream Organic Live Food Bar. Value = $0.64

Peter Rabbit Organics Mango, Banana and Orange fruit snack pouch. Value = $1.44

Hana Kitchen Hana Black & White Cookies. Value = $?? - This was like a gourmet oreo.

4 oz. Inka Corn. Value = $2.09 - These are like corn nuts only a hundred times better.

The total value of this box is $22.07. I really wish the value was closer to the paid price however I do think they include some awesome stuff in here. Most of the products I am familiar with but some were new to me. The chickpeas looked promising but holy moly they were spicy. I wish I could find more info on the Hana Kitchen's products. Basically it's a commercial kitchen that people can rent and bake things but I can't find the products for sale. I've tried two things from them and they were both delicious.

Verdict: This box has great items but I prefer boxes than come closer to the price paid. This was the last box in my subscription and I'm not going to renew.
