April Fancy - food box

The Fancy Food Box includes 5 or more gourmet artisan food products. The Fancy Food box is priced at $39.00 plus $7.95 shipping. This is a little high but if you are into food products they send out some really cool stuff and so far the value has been over the $48 price of the box. I also think this would make a great holiday gift for the food lover in your life.

This subscription is available worldwide, shipping prices vary on location.

The good:

Sizes: You get full size food items!

Information: They include a nice card with the product information and picture.

Products: They really do sent gourmet and artisan foods and products.

The not so good:

Skip: There is no option to skip a month, only cancel but the cancel process is online and super simple.

Price: The price is a little high - unless of course it has great products and a high value.

All the products in this months box. I accidentally left the pinch pots out of the pic.

The information cards that are included in every box.

Contents of The Fancy Food Box with approximate retail price listed:

Roots & Branches Olive Oil Crackers. Value = $7.00

Fine & Raw Cacao & Coconut Chunky bar. Value = $7.00 - I wasn't expecting this to be soft but it was. It had hard chocolate on the outside and soft chocolate on the inside.

Ovi Pinch Pots by Joseph Joseph. Value = $12.00

Bjorn Qorn Popcorn. Value = $3.00 - I'm not sure what the flavoring is on this but I wasn't a fan. The boyfriend liked it though, he ate the whole bag.

Queen City Cookies Pure Shortbread Pachyderm Cookies. Value = $7.00 - fantastic shortbread cookies!

Dragon's Blood Elixir Hot Sauce. Value = $7.50

Herb n Zest Spoonable Curry Ketchup. Value = $8.00

The total value of this months box is $51.50. This box was sort of all over the place and had no theme but I'm ok with that. The only thing I'm not super excited about is the hot sauce. We use hot sauce but not a lot so bottles tend to last us a very long time. Out of all the gadgets I have in my kitchen I'm shocked that I don't have a pinch pot. Well now I do. I will have to find a nice place next to the stove for this. I thought the shortbread cookies were absolutely delicious. I still haven't used the curry ketchup I received from the Taste Trunk box. I'm hoping with summer coming there will be more bbq's and more opportunities to use the ketchup.

Verdict: The fancy food boxes rarely disappoint in value and products. I always look forward to this box.
