April Conscious Box - Classic Box

Conscious box offers 3 types of boxes. The classic, vegan and gluten free.  Each box contains a wide variety of items from food to beauty products to household goodies.  The price is $19.95 a month with shipping included. They also have a 3, 6 and 12 months plans. The 12 month plan is the only one that offers a discount.

I found a deal to get a year for half price so this box only cost me $9.00 a month.

This box is only available to ship to the US including Alaska and Hawaii and ships from Portland, OR

The good:

Variety: You get a wide variety of items and the box was packed!

Vegan: If your vegan the vegan box is great for you.

Gluten free: If you live a gluten free life the gluten free box would be great for you.

Information: They now include an information card with product details on it.

Points: You can earn points for rating products. The points earn you discounts should you want to purchase something you like.

The not so good:

The price: It's on the high side for subscription boxes but I would consider this a specialty box for sure.

Sample size: Some of the sample sizes are really small and not enough to really evaluate the product.

April Conscious Box

Contents of box w/approximate retail price:

ips Egg White Chips in sea salt & black pepper. Value = $1.75

Neo Energy Organic Drink. Value = $2.79

.12 oz. Evenly Radiant Brightening Cleanser. Value = $0.31

.12 oz. Evenly Radiant Brightening Night Créme. Value = $1.68

.06 oz. Evenly Radiant Brightening Dark Circle Eye Créme. Value = $6.82 - This doesn't work great but it works.

Spatone PurAbsorb Iron. Value = $0.71

.1 oz. Egyptian Magic Skin Cream. Value = $1.30

Rescue Pearls natural stress relief in a capsule. Value = $9.99

This Bar Saves Lives in dark chocolate cherry & sea salt. Value = $2.22

Amara Organic Baby Food in Banana. Value = $3.86 **See below**

The approximate value of this classic box is about $31.13. My friend and I were having an especially busy stressful day at work so we tried the stress relief capsules. I can't really say if it worked or not but it didn't taste bad. The ips chips aren't bad but I like the cinnamon ones better. I can always use energy drinks working the night shift. I've been told my iron is on the low side and I bruise easily so I'll use this little iron shot but I don't know about buying it all the time. I've used the Egyptian magic cream before and it works but is a little greasy. The chocolate bar thing looks great and for every bar bought they send a packet of food to a hungry child. Love it!

**I don't have any use for this and I don't know anyone with a new baby. It says it expires April of 2014. If anyone has a 4+ month child and wants to try it let me know and I will mail it out to you asap.**

Verdict: This box had some stuff I love and some new stuff to try. Fantastic value considering I paid $9

  1. I wouldn't pay 19.95 for that. I just got the same deal that you did- $9 a month (Living Social deal plus code extra10 going on now) so that's totally reasonable but I doubt I will get it full price. The Love with Food deluxe box is better (just food and drink though) and just $17 a month for a yearly.

    1. When this subscription runs out if I can't find another deal I'll definitely cancel this one.
