November SkoshBox

Skoshbox is a new food subscription box for Japanese snacks. Their slogan is "A taste of Japan at your doorstep." I was happy to see this box since Dumpling Box is no more. Skoshbox contains handpicked candies, snacks and accessories straight from Japan for $12 a month with shipping included.

This box is available in the US only and ships from Hawaii

The Good:

Like Asian snacks? This is a super fun snack box and all the products are sourced directly from Japan.

Price: Most of us don't have immediate access to these types of snack so I think $12 is a bargain.

Need a unique gift: The offer a 6 month gift subscription for $72.

The Not So Good:

Skip: There is no option to skip only cancel.

November Skoshbox

Contents of the Skoshbox:

Bisco Snack, In Original or Strawberry - a kids snack because of it's softness

Choco Pie - Originated in Korea - I had no idea this originated in Korea!

Pretz Salad - Biscuit sticks lightly dusted with seasoning

Hanatsumi Jelly - Kanten Jelly Candy-firm and mildly fruity-sweet

Fujiya Lollipop - The original fruit version of the soda pops in our previous boxes

Yuki No Yado Senbei - Light fluffy rice crackers drizzles in sweet frosting

Fruit Gummies - In Orange or Grape Flavors

Yakiniku / Unagi Strips - Jerky strips in grilled eel or beef flavors

Sakuma Drops - The iconic hard candy that's featured in "Graves of the Fireflies"

Origami papers - Derived from "ori" which means to fold and "gami" for paper

I am not going to try and calculate the value of this box. I would guess the value is not $12 but because these items are not readily available that adds to the value. The way I look at it is if you like this sort of thing and don't want to search for it yourself then it's worth the $12. I'm going to try my hand at some origami. My mom has been wanting a origami crane mobile so maybe I'll give that a try.

Verdict: I'm happy with this box. I hope it sticks around!
