July BroBox

The newest offering in the subscription box game is BroBox. BroBox is a monthly box. They say they cater to the bro demographic sending the coolest products from awesome brands & expert craftsmen. The price of the box is $14.95 with shipping included. I found a deal on this and I think I paid around $7 as an introductory price.

Last month in the box they included discount code if you reviewed the previous months box. With the discount this box cost me $11.00.

The good:

Not recurring: I see this as good and bad. Good because you don't have to worry about canceling and bad because if you want it monthly you have to remember to order it each month

Need a gift: You can send a BroBox to the bro is your life.

Not just for bros: I noticed the items didn't have to be for men. Woman could use them just as easily

The not so good:

Price: The price is OK. I think I would like it more at $10 or $12.

Shipping: They ship after the month is over. For instance this box is June but it didn't ship until July 5th. I like to received my boxes in the month they are for.

This is the box the bro stuff comes in.

BroBox stuff

Contents of box with approximate retail price:

(3) packs Fresh Balls wipes. Value = $0.16/ea.

(3) packs Immuno Viva Defend + Energy drink mix. Value = $1.17

.75 oz. Sahale Cranberries, sesame seeds and honey. Value = $1.00 - delicious!

.75 oz. Sahale Cashews. Value = $1.00

(3) Dude Wipes. Value = $0.30/ea.

(2) Sweat Block wipes. Value = $2.50

iTrain gift card. Value = $25.00

BroBox exercise hand grip. Value = $2.00

The total value of this BroBox is $38.89 or $13.89 without the gift card. I personally like the iTrain program although I don't use it as much as I should. So let's talk about these ball wipes shall we? I saw those and couldn't help but laugh but really it makes sense. The company also makes a breast fresh version which I assume have the same ingredients. Basically it's a cream that turns into a powder and prevents chaffing when working out or getting sweaty. I will probably use these at some point. The sweat block wipes are interesting. You use them at night and it's suppose to prevent sweating for up to 7 days. I can't try them because they have aluminum in them and I'm allergic. The boyfriend doesn't use deodorant (I know, weird right? - and he never stinks!). Im not sure what im going to do with these. I like the sahale products so I was happy to see these in the box. More dude wipes which is ok but I don't like it when companies send the same thing in a row. I was really excited about the hand grip exerciser. I know it's silly but both the boyfriend and I need to work on my grip strength due to some tendinitis issues so this is super useful for us.

Verdict: Interesting box. This box had snack food in it which was nice. I think I'll do the survey and get next months box.
