August Skosh Box

Skoshbox is a new food subscription box for Japanese snacks. Their slogan is "A taste of Japan at your doorstep." I was happy to see this box since Dumpling Box is no more. Skosh box contains handpicked candies, snacks and accessories straight from Japan for $12 a month with shipping included.

This box is available in the US only and ships from Hawaii

The Good:

Like Asian snacks? This is a super fun snack box and all the products are sourced directly from Japan.

Price: Most of us don't have immediate access to these types of snack so I think $12 is a bargain.

Need a unique gift: The offer a 6 month gift subscription for $72.

The Not So Good:

Skip: There is no option to skip only cancel.

This is what the box looked like when I opened it. Yay chopsticks!

All the Skoshbox yummies packed in the box.

This is the info card that was included. I like that it lists ingredients since I can't read the packages.

Contents of box:

Almond Rush white chocolate bar. - I'm not a white chocolate fan but this was really good and I couldn't stop eating it.

Suzume No Tamago. - These were just ok, not much flavor but a lot of crunch.

Cheese Kibun - Ok cracker

Elise Stick with matcha filling - I am so glad I got the matcha filled one. I love matcha and this was tasty

Fuwa Fuwa Jelly.

Mini Salad. - This didn't taste anything like the description.

Umaibo. - This was so good I'm glad they put two in the box. It was like a giant cheese puff.

Milk Caramel. - Nice piece of caramel

Fruit Gummy.

Hashi - I thought the chopsticks were fun to included even though I have lots already.

I am not going to try and calculate the value of this box. I would guess the value is not $12 but because these items are not readily available that adds to the value. The way I look at it is if you like this sort of thing and don't want to search for it yourself then it's worth the $12. We got this box and sat at the table and ate the whole thing. It was super fun trying all of these fun snacks.

Verdict: I'm happy with this box. I hope it sticks around!

  1. I loved the Almond Rush too, even though I am not a white chocolate girl. Maybe the toasted almonds?

    1. That's what I thought. They must add just the right about of flavor to off set the sweetness of the white chocolate. I really loved the crunch they added.
