May GlossyBox

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 5 travel size beauty items a month.  You can sign up monthly for $21/month, 6 months for $115 (breaks down to $19.16/month), or yearly for $220 (breaks down to $18.33/month).  Shipping is included in all of these prices. The price is a higher than a lot of the other beauty companies but they say they include luxury items and in my experience they do.  The company ships their boxes towards the end of the month so you will receive it at the end of the month.  There is a little customization from a survey you take when you sign up.

This subscription is available in the US (not including Alaska or Hawaii), Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

The good:

The brands: They have well known quality brands like OPI, Zoya, Burberry, C.O. Bigelow, Ahava, Sebastian and other brands specific to other countries.

The sizes: They send deluxe size samples and a couple of items were full sized.

The box: I know it's just a box but it's a really nice sturdy box in a nice shade of pink.  The only logo is on the top and it's not very big.  That makes this box perfect for reusing for a gift box.

Information. They provide information on the products you receive and how much the full size is priced at.  I like knowing this info up front and not having to search for it.

Free stuff: If you provide feedback on your products you earn Glossydots which will eventually earn you a free box.

The not so good:

The price: This can be a little high for some people but if you want to receive known/quality brands it's worth it.

The theme is this Glossybox is Work That Beauty.

Contents of box w/approximate retail value listed and full size price in parenthesis:

.53 oz. AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact. Value = $8.00

etre belle Collagen & Aloe Vera Hydro Mask. Value = $3.95

(2) European Wax Center Slow it Down Body Lotion. Value = $0.34/ea. - I like my lotion a little thicker. This was thin and I didn't feel like it was moisturizing.

.3 oz. My Prime Multi-Purpose Mattifying Moisturizer. Value = $10.07

FULL SIZE Nick K New York LUX369 perfume stick. Value = $14.99

1.7 oz. Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray Gel. Value = $8.95

European Wax Center coupon for a complimentary bikini, eyebrow or underarm wax. Value = $20.00??

Ulta coupon for a free Sebastian Shaper or Shaper Plus w/a $15 purchase.

The total value of my Glossybox is $46.64-66.64 (depending if you can use the coupon). The high value item in this months box is the cushion compact. At first I thought this was a powder but it's more of a combination wet foundation and powder. It smells kind of floral but not in a bad way. Right now where I live the temperature is 100+ so I don't see any point in wearing foundation. I am curious to try it though. I actually have a European Wax center near me but I probably won't use this because I heard they give you the hard sell after your service. I really HATE the hard sell. Also the coupon is for first time guests so not everyone will be able to use it. You know I'm a big fan of the face masks so I'll be using this.

Verdict: This months Glossybox had some fun products that I can't wait to try.
