May Fancy Box - Tyler Florence

Most of you have seen my posts on the Fancy Food Box but The Fancy also does special boxes curated by celebrities. So far the have P!nk, Ashton Kutcher, Verbal, Coco Rocha, Jennifer Love Hewitt and this one by Tyler Florence. These boxes are the same price as the regular boxes which is $39.00 plus $7.95 shipping.  This box is shipping monthly and is said to be the best home goods hand-picked by celebrity chef Tyler Florence. Each box includes $80.00+ of products.

The good:

Sizes: You get full size food items!

Information: They include a nice card with the product information and picture.

The not so good:

Skip: There is no option to skip a month, only cancel.

Price: The price is a little high - unless of course it has great products and a high value.

My cat Gracie was very interested in this months box.

Here is my other cat Izzi modeling the new Tyler Florence shipping box.

Contents of The Fancy Food Box with approximate retail price listed:

Prepara Original Herb Saver. Value = $29.99

NorPro Egg and Pancake Rings. Value = $9.99 (but you can find them all day long for about $5/set)

Apron Guide apron. Value = $26.00

Ad n Art Tilt Mug. Value = $12.95

The total value of this Tyler Florence box is $78.93. This box was a little disappointing because I already received this apron this month in the Fancy Food box. Now I have two. I wasn't eggcited (get it?, eggcited) about the egg ring either but when the boyfriend saw it said "oh we're keeping those". We make egg mcmuffin sandwiches in the mornings and he thinks this will be a perfect fit on the english muffin. The mug looks pretty cool but I'm not sure the diffuser is big enough to hold loose tea. In my experience loose tea doubles in size when wet and this looks pretty small. I guess I could just use less tea and drink 2 cups. Now I was very excited about the herb saver. This has been on my want list for a long time. I have a pampered chef one but this one looks like it will work a lot better.

Verdict. I ended up canceling for now. I wasn't super excited about this box and the duplicate item.

    1. It is although I really like the stuff in the first TF box. Since this box disappointed me a little and the cost is so high I canceled it for now. If I see another deal I may sign up again.

  2. I continue to be underwhelmed by Fancy in general.... The price is SO high for the stuff to be so gimmicky/kitschy for the most part in my opinion! But I LOVE a good egg joke and your cat is ADORBS! :)

    1. I agree some of it are things I wouldn't buy in general but sometimes those items make great gifts. I do really enjoy the Fancy food box but since I was a Samplrs subscriber when they switched to Fancy I only pay $28 a month for that box. My cats are definitely entertaining. Izzi loves boxes - if there is an empty box lying around she's in it.

    2. $28/month sounds more like it! It'd be a fun sub for that price, even just for interesting/unique gifts!

  3. Fancy gave me thirty bucks for the duplicate apron, and I used the diffuser and I think it was big enough.

    2. Well I also complained about the duplicate smartphone stand that i got in both the normal fancy box and verbal one.

  4. The egg ring is really deceiving because the photo they used on the card and website it for a higher quality set from Williams-Sonoma. Reviews on Amazon for this Norpro set are terrible. I probably won't even use mine just because of the negative reviews and risk of mess.
