May Yumvelope

Yumvelope is a subscription service centered around food and snacks.  Each month you receive a large USPS envelope filled with yummy goodies.  The cost for this service is $21 plus $3.00 shipping or you can sign up for a month to month subscription for a flat rate of $21.00.  If you like what you get then you can sign up for 6 months for $126.00 w/shipping included and a bonus shipment (I confirmed this is an extra month - so you get 7 months for the price of 6). The Yumvelope promises to send all natural hand picked delicious items in each envelope.  Yumvelope has also started a meal donation program for each envelope purchased, and you know I'm a big fan of that.

This subscription is available is the US only and ships from Illinois.

The good:

Variety: There is a good variety of items.

Discounts: The try and send a promo code for each product so you can order your favorite products at a discounted price.

Size: They send full size or close to full size products which is always nice.

Meal donation: For every Yumvelope shipped they donate a meal.

The not so good:

Skip: No option to skip a month

Contents of box with approximate retail value/price listed.

2 oz. bag of Half Pops natural butter & pure ocean sea salt. Value = $1.49 - Sooo good! I could've eaten the whole bag but I refrained.

2 oz. bag Cristoforo Hazelnut Biscotti. Value = $2.31 - not as flavorful as the bari biscotti but it was ok

2 oz. bag Cristoforo Almond Biscotti. Value = $2.25 - not as flavorful as the bari biscotti but it was ok

2.2 oz. bag Cristoforo Organic Sprouted Spelt Sourdough Crackers. Value = $3.75

3 oz. bag of Lush Nuts Coconut Lavender almonds. Value = $4.50

1.41 oz. Urban Raccoons Cranberry Maple Almond Granola Bar. Value = $2.00

The total approximate value of this Yumvelope is $16.30. I wish the value was a little just a dollar higher but I still like the yummies in this box. Even though I shouldn't be doing it I really enjoy eating biscotti with my morning coffee or tea so I'm excited about getting these little packages. I still have some jam left from my Quarterly Box that might go well with the spelt crackers. Coconut lavender almonds? interesting. I hope they are more coconut and less lavender.

Verdict: My subscription is up for renewal. decisions, decisions...
