March Yumvelope

Yumvelope is a subscription service centered around food and snacks.  Each month you receive a large USPS envelope filled with yummy goodies.  The cost for this service is $21 plus $3.00 shipping or you can sign up for a month to month subscription for a flat $21.00.  If you like what you get then you can sign up for 6 months for $126.00 w/shipping included and a bonus shipment (I'm guess that means an extra month free). With your payment they promise to all natural hand picked delicious items in each envelope.  Yumvelope has also started a meal donation program for each envelope purchased, and you know I'm a big fan of that.

This subscription is available is the US only and ships from Illinois.

The good:

Variety: There is a good variety of items.

Discounts: The try and send a promo code for each product so you can order your favorite products at a discounted price.

Size: They send full size or close to full size products which is always nice.

Meal donation: For every Yumvelope shipped they donate a meal.

The not so good:

Skip: No option to skip a month

Yumvelope Treasures!

Contents of box with approximate retail value/price listed.

Biscotti Bari Pistachio Dark Chocolate Biscotti. Value = $2.00?? - Great with coffee, otherwise hard. Nice chocolate chunks inside.  The boyfriend said "this is really good biscotti"

Biscotti Bari Lemon Poppyseed Biscotti. Value = $2.00?? - Same as above except I missed the lemon flavor when I dipped it in my coffee

Liz Lovely Gluten Free Snickerdoodle cookies. Value = $3.99

Liz Lovely Chocolate Moose Dragon cookies. Value = $3.99 - the boyfriend and I agreed this was the best dang cookie ever!!!!! It was soft, chocolately and downright fantastic!

Blanxart Chocolate Negro chocolate bar from Spain. Value = $3.45

Pecadero Fig Bar from Spain. Value = $2.50??

Good Life Cranberry Cherry Granola. Value = $6.50

The total approximate value of this Yumvelope is $24.43.  I couldn't find any prices on the Biscotti or Fig Bar so I made a guess. The first thing I noticed is the envelope was stuffed with food this month.  The second thing I noticed was how heavy the cookies are.  They are some seriously dense cookies! The boyfriend wants to break them up put the in a bowl, put ice cream and caramel sauce on top and eat them that way. I'm just hoping to try one before they are all gone. I love figs and dark chocolate so both chocolate bars are great. I'm kind of over the granola but the teenager likes it and she was excited about it.  Can't wait to try the biscotti as they are two of my favorite flavors - which one to try first.

Verdict: I've really been enjoying my Yumvelopes, I'm going to keep this subscription going.
