February Glossybox

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 5 travel size beauty items a month.  You can sign up monthly for $21/month, 6 months for $115 (breaks down to $19.16/month), or yearly for $220 (breaks down to $18.33/month).  Shipping is included in all of these prices. The price is a higher than a lot of the other beauty companies but they say they include luxury items and in my experience they do.  The company ships their boxes towards the end of the month so you will receive it at the end of the month.  There is a little customization from a survey you take when you sign up.

This subscription is available in the US (not including Alaska or Hawaii), Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

The good:

The brands: They have well known quality brands like OPI, Zoya, Burberry, C.O. Bigelow, Ahava, Sebastian and other brands specific to other countries.

The sizes: They send deluxe size samples and a couple of items were full sized.

The box: I know it's just a box but it's a really nice sturdy box in a nice shade of pink.  The only logo is on the top and it's not very big.  That makes this box perfect for reusing for a gift box.

Information. They provide information on the products you receive and how much the full size is priced at.  I like knowing this info up front and not having to search for it.

Free stuff: If you provide feedback on your products you earn Glossydots which will eventually earn you a free box.

The not so good:

The price: This can be a little high for some people but if you want to receive known/quality brands it's worth it.

My Glossybox treasures.

Contents of box w/approximate retail value listed and full size price in parenthesis:

1.76 oz. Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Blanc Soap. Value = $10.00 (5.3 oz. $30.00)

FULL SIZE Da Vinci Cosmetics Shimmer Powder. Value = $15.00

FULL SIZE Evologie eSystem Duo Pack Intensive Blemish Serum & Stay Clear Cream. Value = $15.00

FULL SIZE Lisi Liquid Eyeliner. Value = $7.00

FULL SIZE Nail Rock Nail Wraps. Value = $8.00

The total value of my Glossybox is $55.00.  This box had 4 full size products in it and although the Bvlgari soap isn't full size it's big enough and will last awhile.  It had a strong scent so I'm hoping it won't be too overpowering.  I like the nail wraps but this design is really not my style.  Maybe I'll save it for Halloween or some crazy party.  The liquid liner is pretty cool but I'm a disaster when it comes to making a straight line.  I usually prefer gel or crayon liner for this reason.  The eyeshadow is pretty and I'll use that.  I'm not sure about the Evologie products as I don't have acne issues but I guess it can't hurt to use it.

Verdict: This months Glossybox is just ok for me.  Overall I do enjoy Glossybox.

** I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Glossybox.  I purchase these subscriptions myself.

  1. DailyCandy is offering a 3 month subscription today to Glossy box for $60, and it comes with a lipstick. If you have hotmail or outlook you also get a free blush with the purchase.

    1. I saw that today. So basically it's $3 off and some extra free stuff. Not a bad deal.

  2. I usually love my glossy box. but I had a problem with my this time and it seems that they just brush it off. They wouldn't contact me back and kept deleting my comments on anything. It was very frustrating. This is my review on it. My problem is the last picture on the page. The eyeliner was extremely dry and cracked but the most frustrating part was the problem with customer service. I'm just curious, have you ever had this problem before? Where you had a problem and its like the vanish when you try to ask them about it? =( Thanks hun!

    1. Did they ever respond back? I've been looking all over for my gel and I can't find it. It has to be here somewhere! I wanted to see if mine was the same. I do have other brands of gel liner I've bought and I've noticed they shrank and pulled away from the edge a little. I still use it though. I'm actually having the same issue with samplrs right now. They have switched companies and I'm trying to figure out my boxes because I think I may be missing one. I've emailed twice with no response. Not sure which route I'm going to take next.

    2. Its crazy. Did they really just change companies? I was blown away by the lack of customer service. After I reach enough points to get a free box I may discontinue my glossy box to try some of these other awesome boxes you post about. And keep my Blush box with I'm still in a state of "omg WOW" over lol.
I usually keep using my eyeliner until well after its life should be over with no problem but I cant even get any out with a brush without 'digging' into the pot and I would rather not mess up my brush. O.o
I hope you get your box! I was upset over the bad product, this woulda been fine but the customer service problem kinda killed it. But I'd be a very not happy camper if I had a whole box go missing. Nope not at all. >.< I hope they get back with you! Fingers crossed!
