January Dumpling Box

Hello everyone.  I have discovered yet another food related subscription box I want to share with you.  This is called Dumpling Box and it contains Asian snacks.  This box really sparked my curiosity and here's why.  When I was a kid my mom bought me some rice candy.  The best thing about rice candy when you're a kid is that you can eat the paper!  I thought that was the coolest thing ever. To this day I still love rice candy and always have a box lying around the snack bowl.  I enjoy Asian food very much and I like trying new things.  There is an Asian market near my house that I frequent but I can't read a lot of packages.  That's where Dumpling Box comes in.  They send you a box of goodies and a little card that tells you what it's called, where it's from and the ingredients.  Perfect!  The cost of this box is $10.00 a month.

The good:

Like Asian snacks: This is a great box if you're a snacker and specifically enjoy snacks from the Asian region

Price: The price is fair considering these are not easily found products.

Information: I like that they include the information on the product with ingredients.

The not so good:

Skip: There is no option to skip, only cancel.

This is the actual box.  I love the name of this company, so cute!

Dumpling treasures!

Contents of Dumpling box.

Ego Golden Bear, Singapore - These were like little puffed crackers with a chocolate flavored filling inside. The little bear was stamped on the cracker.

Garlic Crispy Peas, China - These are wasabi peas and delicious!

HanKing Rice Cracker Stick, Korea - This tasted like sugar smacks cereal. I forgot how much I love sugar smacks.

Happy Seasoned Seaweed, Japan

Konjac Brown Rice Roll, Taiwan - I love brown rice and this was good.  It had some sort of soft filling inside.

Kopiko Coffee Candy, Indonesia

Nanao Nikoniko Nikkori Jelly, Japan

Philippine Brand Dried Mango Pineapple, Philippines

Qianke Plum, China - This was ok, tasted like a prune.

Pretz Roast, Japan

I didn't attempt to find the monetary value to these items because it would've been way too time consuming to travel the the stores in my area and try and find these items.  Instead the value is assigned based on how valuable it is to you.  I happen to really enjoy these kinds of snacks and hopefully this will help me identify more items at my local Asian market.  I would much rather try this kind of stuff in sample form than buy a whole package of something and end up not liking it.

Verdict: I really enjoyed this box.  I think it's unique and fun.

** I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Dumpling Box.  I purchase these subscriptions myself

  1. Wow I subscribed to them last month andnI was thinking about suggesting them to you. They are a pretty small business and the owner seems pretty friendly.

    1. Please suggest away! I thought this was a fun box. Did you get this same box or was the box you got different? What do you think about it?

    2. It was the same box, I thought it was pretty interesting that I haven't tried half of those items. And I am asian, and love asian food. This box is affordable, and I believe it is gonna be a keeper unless some gogogirlfriend shenanigans happen.

    6. Yeah that's the weird thing about this box. You subscribe at any time during the month and get billed like the next day. Then you get your box a couple weeks after. Then this process repeats again every month. So everyone recieves their box at different times in the month. I usually get it the same time as my yumvelope if that is a good point of reference for you.
