January Love with Food - International Delights

Love with Food is a monthly subscription box for food.  The price is $10 plus $2 for shipping a month or you can sign up for a 6 month plan and shipping is only $1 or a yearly plan and shipping is free which makes the boxes an even $10.  In addition to yummy treats for every box sold they donate a meal to a hungry child. I've enjoyed all my boxes so I signed up for a yearly membership.

Love with Food has provided a code for $2.00 for my readers.  Use code TREASUREVIP

Each month is a different theme and you will receive 5+ gourmet food items.   You don't get to pick you items so it's a complete surprise.  If you like what you get then you can log onto the Love with Food website and order the products at a special discount.  This months theme is International Delights.

The good:

The price: $10-$12 is a reasonable price to pay for yummy treats AND you're donating a meal.

Need a gift: You can send a 3 or 6 month subscription to a friend.  Who wouldn't love getting tasty treats in the mail?

Variety: You get a lot of variety in each box.

Discounts: You can earn points for discounts off future full size product purchases by submitting reviews on their website or referring new members.

The not so good:

Skip a month: Skipping is not an option.  If you don't want a box you will have to cancel.

All my Love with Food treasures.

Contents of box w/retail price listed:

Almond Anise Biscotti from Biscotti de Suzy from Italy. Value = $0.88 - Not spectacular but tasty.

3.2 oz. GoGo Squeez Apple Strawberry Applesauce from France. Value = $0.70

New Tree Cannelle (milk chocolate) Chocolate from Belgium. Value = $0.29 - This wasn't very good, hopefully the dark chocolate one will be better.

New Tree Speculous (dark chocolate) Chocolate from Belgium. Value = $0.29 - This was much better than the milk chocolate.

Chuao Chocolatier Firecracker Chocolate Pod from Venezuela. Value = $0.99

(3) Kyotofu Shortbread Tea Cookies from Japan. Value = $2.50

1.05 Turbana Plantain Chips from Columbia.  Value = $1.05 - I liked the saltyness of these but was expecting more banana flavor.  I've only ever had plantains covered in caramel and ice cream so I wasn't sure if on their own they had a real banana flavor like a regular banana does.

1.24 packet of Tiger Spice Chai Tea from Japan. Value = $1.25

The total estimated value of this months box is $7.95.  The value is a little low but there is some pretty cool specialty products in here.  I like the GoGo squeez and haven't tried the strawberry applesauce flavor yet.  I received the Chuao chocolate in a different flavor in my Birchbox a couple of months ago and was going to order more but they sold out so I was excited to get a different flavor.  The Japanese cookies look interesting.  They are green tea, black sesame and brown rice flavored and I usually love all those flavors but never had it in cookie form.  I love chai tea so this was awesome for me.

Verdict: Overall I love my Love with Food boxes so it's a keeper

**I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Love with Food.  I purchase these subscriptions myself.

  1. Spot on review for the LWF box. It seemed like the value may have been a bit low in this box, so I love getting your reviews and seeing the estimated value. I agree that this is a great box overall and I also went with the annual subscription. That chocolate pod was amazing!

    1. Thank! I'm glad you enjoy my reviews. I'm all about a deal so the values are important to me. Those chocolate pods are super delicious! I had one previously that was a kettle chip with sea salt and dipped in milk chocolate. It was a nice combination of salty, sweet.
