December Startup Threads Swag Bag

Do you like T-shirts? Do you like wearing uniquely desgined tshirts? Do you like helping new companies advertise? Then Startup Threads may be a subscription for you.  Every month Startup Threads sends out a swag bag with a T-shirt, stickers and other swag from top companies.  They offer shirts both in men's and women's sizes up to XXL.  The price of this monthly subscription is $14.95 plus $5.00 shipping.  They will also ship international for an additional shipping price of $6.50-$11.00.

Startup Threads contacted me and sent me their December swag bag for review.  The company being advertised is Dwolla which is a new payment network.

The good:

Quality: The shirt they sent me is super soft.  It's made from 50% polyester and 50% cotton.

Sizes: They offer men's and women's sizes up to XXL.

Commitment issues: You can buy their shirts individually without having to make a monthly commitment.  The price is $5.00 more.

The not so good:

Price: $20 a month is a little high for a T-shirt but if you only wear tshirts then it's works out great.

Skip: You can't skip a month once you sign up.  You can only cancel.

This is my shirt.  It looks gray in the picture but it's really blue.

This is a close up of the cute Dwolla Koala.

Here is the other swag in my bag.  There is a cute drawing of a koala with a note, a Dwolla sticker and I'm not sure what the other thing is.  It's super hard plastic and could be used as a key chain.

The shirt isn't very thick but it's super soft.  Since it's made from a poly/cotton blend it shouldn't shrink much if at all which will be nice.  The also have a gallery of previous shirts they have done and you can purchase those as well.  They have a really cook one of a Ninja from WooThemes and a chipmunk one from Hipmunk.  Not all of their shirts have animals on them those are just the ones I liked.  I think for me I would be more inclined to subscribe if there was a skip a month option.

Verdict: Good idea - you get a cool shirt and the company gets advertising.

***I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Startup Threads.  This swag bag was sent to me free of charge for review purposes.
