November Blissmo Pantry Picks Box

*********************Congrats to Blissmo for being my 200th post***********************

The Blissmo box is a monthly subscription service geared toward organic & eco products that are described as safer and better for you.  Each month they offer different boxes to choose from which vary based on themes or seasons. They offer various pricing structures depending monthly, 6 months or yearly.  The base price is always $19 but for monthly subscriptions add $5.95 shipping for 6 months subscriptions add $2.95 shipping and for yearly subscriptions shipping is free.  The company advertises that you will receive between $19-$40 worth of items for your $19-24.95.

Each month they send you an email with a choice of 2-3 boxes to pick from.  I've never had an issue of them running out of the box I want but I usually pick my box within a day or two of getting the email.

This is the November box but I just received it today (December 5th). This is pretty normal for Blissmo,  You pick which box you want around the middle of the month and they ship at the end of the month.

The good:

Like trying new things but not sure what to try? This is a good way to start trying new products without being overwhelmed or spending a bunch of money.

Variety: They offer different theme boxes.

Pricing: The company changed their pricing structure.  If you plan on subscribing yearly they give you free shipping.

Information: They include a card with information about the company and their products.  Also on the card they list the value of each item received, I really appreciate this.

The not so good:

Skip a month? Yes, now you can skip a month and you won't be charged.

This is a picture of what the select your box email looks like.  They don't tell you what's in the box but give you little descriptions.  Through the email you click to their site and select your box. They send the emails mid-month and give you about a week to decide.

This is an example of the email they send.  This month there were 3 boxes to choose from.

Gracie thought the Meshy hot sack made a great toy. She wouldn't move so I took the picture with her in it.

Contents of box with retail price listed:

Box of Nairns Organic Oatcake Crackers. Value = $4.99

4 oz. package of Jovial pasta. Value = $1.00 - I really liked this pasta.  It stayed firm and didn't have a weird "I'm eating healthy pasta" taste.

2 Meshy hotsacks reusable bags for fruits or veggies. Value = $1.30 - These are really cool.  I have some reusable veggies bags but these are much bigger so I like that.

1 package of Cocomama Wild Blueberry Quinoa Cereal. Value = $3.89 - I honestly don't know how people eat this.  I tried, I really tried to like it but I just couldn't do it.

Zoe for kids Olive Oil (has extra fruity taste and buttery finish). Value = $9.99

2 packets of the Chia Co chia seeds. Value = $1.30 - I added this to my yogurt and it wasn't so bad

2 packets of Kelapo Coconut Oil. Value = $1.05/ea (10 pk. $10.49)

The total value of my box is $24.57.  I was excited as I was pulling the items out of the box.  Olive Oil? very cool, reusable mesh bags, kinda neat and eco-friendly, hmmm this pasta looks yummy, chia seeds - not my favorite but I'm adapting - oh nooo Cocomama quinoa cereal.  I received the Cocomama in my Yumvelope a couple of months ago.  I didn't like it at all so when I saw this I actually got a little anxious.  I tried to think on the positive, this is a different flavor so maybe it will be better.  Yeah, nope not any better.  Thank goodness I had some steel-cut oatmeal on standby.  The olive oil sounds cool.  I think it might make a really good salad dressing.  The oatcake crackers remind me of hard version of arepa's which are delicious, if you haven't tried them you're missing out.  The oatcake crackers say they can be topped with various toppings for a treat or an appetizer.

Verdict: Blissmo box always has a nice variety of treasures in it.

I am not any type of sponsor paid of unpaid for Blissmo.  I purchase these subscriptions myself.

  1. Does your mailman love you or hate you with having to deliver all these boxes? ;)

Love reading these reviews and seeing new-to-me subscription boxes. How many do you subscribe to a month?

    1. Thanks - I'm glad you like my blog. Funny you should ask about my mailman, I often wonder the same thing. I ran into him the other day and I mentioned the amount of packages I get. He said he didn't mind since it kept him busy - I ended up giving him some meyer lemons from my tree.
I subscribe to about 23 different ones that I receive regularly. I have noticed I don't really shop much anymore at the grocery store or malls. Of course I still go for fresh meats, fruits, veggies and such but I don't really buy snack items. Also with Little Black Bag and Jewelmint I was able to get some really cool holiday gifts. I'll use some of the sample stuff I don't want or use as package toppers or stocking stuffers.
I plan on looking over all the boxes I get (mostly the beauty ones) and seeing which ones I used and liked most and paring those ones down. A girl can only do so much with 10 lip glosses!

  2. I just started getting subscription boxes last month (that's how I found your blog...googling subscription boxes!). So far I canceled Nature Box and Stork Stack as they didn't end up being worth it for me. LOVE Ipsy and Citrus Lane so far and looking forward to Pop Sugar Must Have Box this month. :)

  3. Forgot to mention, I managed to snag a Large Box from Eco -Emi this month for $29 (posted on her Facebook page)...can't wait to get it...she mailed it within hours of my purchase and it is due for delivery next week. It will be my first box from her ever since my subscription won't start until January!

    1. Glad I could help with your subscription box search. They can be so addicting! I ordered the the large Eco Emi box also. I was going to post on it but other regular monthly boxes started coming it so I didn't. It truly is a big box packed with lots of stuff, I'm sure you'll love it. The last couple of PopSugar boxes have been a great value. I also ordered the special luxury box, I figured the regular ones are so awesome that one would have to be great!

  4. Ann the return of the dreaded cocomama cereal, I got it in a yum elope also and I hated the texture. I also recently just ordered the male luxury box from pop sugar and I feel nervous since they don't regularly send out male boxes, and I hope there is some variety. What do you think about the male box?

    1. Isn't that cocomama cereal just awful? I'm really curious about the male popsugar box you will have to share what you get. Birchbox has a men's box also that I've been curious about.
