Cravebox Cooking Light Limited Edition Box

This is not the normal Cravebox subscription box.  In addition to their subscription service they also offered limited edition boxes every few months.  (I say offered because this changed after this box was shipped) In order to be eligible to purchase one of these limited edition boxes you have to put your name in a drawing.  You don't have to be a member to be put in the drawing for a limited edition box. It's a one time charge for that particular box if you are chosen to receive one.  What makes these limited is that there are only 1500 available.  You have to sign up on their website to be notified when these boxes are available.  From that point they choose 1500 people to receive a box.  The limited edition boxes cost vary in cost.  The book club box was priced at $13.00 w/shipping included.
**Now for the changes.  Cravebox now has just one type of membership.  Basically you sign up and when they have a box available you enter for a chance to receive one.  You still have to pay for the box and their prices are still really low for what you receive.  This new program makes it so much less confusing for everyone.  No more subscriptions or limited editions just Craveboxes.

The good:

Themed Boxes: While you don't know what exactly is coming in your box you know the general theme and the price it will be.

The price: I don't think  I've ever paid more than $14.00 and the value (with the exception of 1 box) was always great.

The not so good:

I can't think of anything.

Look at all these goodies.  I was super excited about this box. Also note everything in this box is full sized!

This is some of the literature included.  There is a recipe booklet for the Torani syrup and the nectresse.  There are also a couple of recipe cards for the seasoning and coffee.  In addition to all of that there is a discount code for a Cooking Light Subscription for $12.00 and it included free tablet access.

Contents of box with retail price listed:

(2) Perfect Pinch Salt Free Garlic & herb Seasoning from McCormick. Value = $2.79/ea

Box of 40 packets Nectresse 100% Natural no-calories sweetener. Value = $3.79

12 oz. bag of Tully's French Roast Coffee. Value = $9.49

Peach Fruit Crisp from Dole (each package has 2 containers in it). Value = $1.98

Apple Cinnamon Fruit Crisp from Dole (each package has 2 containers in it). Value = $1.98

Apple Pear Fruit Crisp from Dole (each package has 2 containers in it). Value = $1.98

750ml bottle of Torani Sugar Free Salted Caramel Syrup. Value = $7.95 - I added some of this to my morning coffee and it was delicious!

Cooking light conversion magnet.

The total value of the Cooking Light box is $32.75.  I was so happy to see the Torani syrup and especially in the salted caramel flavor that I didn't even know existed!  I can't wait to try some of the recipes they sent.  The Dole Fruit crisps look tasty especially warmed up with a little scoop or vanilla bean ice cream.  As I said before I'm not a huge coffee drinking but the boyfriend has some every morning and we happen to be on the last couple of scoops so this came just in time.  I have tons of seasonings in my pantry but always welcome more.  I like that this one is salt free.

Verdict: Craveboxes are fun and filled with treasures.

I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Cravebox.  I purchase these boxes myself.

    1. Jared - I sure did. $100 was a lot for a gamble but their regular boxes are so awesome I couldn't resist.
