Love with Food August Box

Love with Food is a monthly food subscription box.  The price is $10 plus $2 for shipping a month or you can sign up for a 6 month plan and shipping is only $1 or a yearly plan and shipping is free which makes the boxes an even $10.  In addition to yummy treats for every box sold they donate a meal to a hungry child.  I've enjoyed all my boxes so I signed up for a yearly membership.

Each month is a different theme and you will receive 5+ gourmet food items.   You don't get to pick you items so it's a complete surprise.  If you like what you get then you can log onto the Love with Food website and order the products at a special discount.  This months theme is Travelin' Treats.

The good:

The price: $10-$12 is a reasonable price to pay for yummy treats AND you're donating a meal.

Need a gift: You can send a 3 or 6 month subscription to a friend.  Who wouldn't love getting tasty treats in the mail?

Variety: You get a lot of variety in each box.

Discounts: You can earn points for discounts off future full size product purchases by submitting reviews on their website or referring new members.

The not so good:

Skip a month: Skipping is not an option.  If you don't want a box you will have to cancel.

Contents of box.

Full size 2 oz. bag of Skinny Dipping Pretzels by East Shore.  Value = $1.25 - nothing real special about these. They tasted like a pretzel.

Full Size 1.4 oz. jar of Key Lime with Ginger Mustard by East Shore. Value = $1.50 - I dipped the pretzel in this mustard and it was delicious.  I loved the lime flavor in the mustard, who knew that could be so good.

1 oz. Vegan Lemony Lemon Cookie by the Sun Flour Baking Company. Value = $1.20 - I love anything lemon and this did not disappoint.  It was soft and had a wonderful lemon flavor. I would buy these again.

1 oz. Vegan Peanut Butter Cookie by the Sun Flour Baking Company. Value = $1.20  - I didn't get a chance to try this but I was told by the teenager that it was soft and delicious.

1 oz. bag of Dried Montmorency Cherries by Cherry Bay Orchards. Value = $0.67 - tasted just like cherries.  good snack.

3.5 oz. bag of Coconut Toffee Peanuts by Sconza Candies. Value = $1.50 - you just really can't go wrong with toffee peanuts.  They were delicious and reminded me of a baseball game.

2 pieces of Gin Gins Super Strength Ginger Caramel Candy by The Ginger People. Value = $0.25

1 pack with 3 pieces of Tangerine Glee Gum. Value = $0.25 - I didn't try this because I'm not a huge fan of glee gum.  The last one I tried stuck to my teeth.  The boyfriend tried it and said it lost it's flavor after about 10 minutes.

The overall value of this months box is $7.82.  Now I pay $10 a month so this isn't too bad of a value considering they donate a meal.  The bonus is this is all specialty food items, so it's not like this is readily available for me to buy at my local stores.  That makes the value a little bit better in my opinion.

Verdict: overall I love my love with food boxes so it's a keeper

**I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Love with Food.  I purchase these subscriptions myself.
