July Samplrs Box

Samplrs is a monthly subscription service that revolves around food.  Each month you will receive 4-6 full size products from up and coming food artisans.  I was really happy with last months selections so I was super excited to see what this month brought.  The cost is $29.99 a month (shipping included)

The good:

Sizes: The company gives you full sizes of the products.  Now you don't have to hide your treasures from other people.

Price: If you are into gourmet food items then the price is awesome.  These are not products you are likely going to find on sale in your local grocery store.  If you are a picky eater or not into trying new foods then this may not be the service for you.

Discounts: You can buy the products you receive on the Samplrs website and in addition earn points which can be used for discounts in the marketplace

Information: They include a card with the product information and this months card had a recipe using the Blueberry Bourbon Jam.  (Blueberry YumYum Bourbon Muffins)

Vegetarian: You can opt to receive an vegetarian-only box which will contain vegetarian alternatives to featured meat products.

The not so good:

Skip a month: There is no option to skip only to cancel.

The contents of the box with the retail value:

8oz. Trufa Seca - dry cured black truffle sausage from Charlito's Cocina. value = $15.00 - very good chacuterie.  I paired it with wine and cheese and it was delish!

2 2oz. Crack of Dawn Granola bars by Early Bird Foods. value = $3.00/ea - This taste good but it's really hard.  I ended up breaking it up and eating it as opposed to biting off of it.  There are big raisins in it which I love.  Not a bad snack for 140 cal.

5 brownies from LuckyBird Bakery. value = value = $11.67 - All I can say is wow!  Soft, chewy while still being light and fluffy with a nice crunch on top.  If you ever have the opportunity to try these DO IT!

8oz jar of BLUE-berry Bourbon Jam from The Jam Stand. value = $9.00

What a nice mix of stuff, don't you think?  A little something for breakfast, snack and dessert.  The total value of my box is $41.67.  What a great value!

Funny story - So I get these brownies in my box but as much as I want to gobble one up right away, I wait so I can sit down and really enjoy it. The next day sitting with the boyfriend and his teenage daughter I say "I think I'm ready to try that brownie now." He says "It was really good." I say "You ate one already?" and then I look at the daughter.  She shakes her head in agreement.  So I say "You ate one too?" she says "Yep, and it was good"  So the boyfriend gets me one of the three that are left and he and the daughter proceed to eat the last two.  I only got to try one brownie out of the five in the bag!  I gotta start hiding this stuff.

Verdict: Yum. Tasty!  Can't wait for next month.

**I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Samplrs.  I purchase these subscriptions myself.
