Influenster Summer VoxBox

Question?  Who doesn't love free stuff?

Influenster is not a monthly subscription service and you don't/can't pay to get boxes from them.  The way it works is you sign up for free on their website and unlock "badges". There are many badges you can unlock depending on your hobbies, lifestyle, where you live, social networking etc.  When the company has a box of items they want tested and reviewed they pick from the Influensters registered and send them goodies.  Once you get the items you are expected to try them out, review them, tell your friends etc.  Doing all of that will ensure that you will remain on the list of influensters that get boxes.  The whole point of Influenster is to get the word out about the products and what better way than word of mouth.  And yes all of this is free, you don't pay to sign up, you don't pay to get a box and you don't pay for anything period.  They send out several boxes a year with different themes and not everyone gets all the boxes.  I think this is the 4th box they have sent this year and it will be my second.  I love getting their little "congratulations, you've been selected emails"...It's like winning a prize!

After you receive your box of goodies you will receive emails from Influenster telling you about brand challenges and ways to earn more badges.  The more badges you earn the more likely you are to receive a future box.  Basically you get badges for talking about the product and giving your opinion.

Contents of Summer Beauty Box with retail price in parenthesis:

2 oz bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF30. value = $3.00 (6oz. $8.99)

Always/Tampax Radiant collection with a little bag and samples of feminine products. value = est. $3.00

Quaker Soft Baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread. value = $0.66 (5 pk box $3.29) - very tasty, especially warmed up.

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Ionic Indigo. value $9.99 - This is a little difficult to use.  You have to place the magnet close to the wet polish and I touched it a couple of times which smudged my nail.  Once you get the process down it  gets a little easier.

Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme. value = $1.76 (3.4oz. $5.99) - This works very well.  It doesn't leave a greasy residue.  My cuticles get really dry in the summer and I think this is helping keeping them moisturized.

Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Total Care Shampoo. value $1.16 (12.7 oz. $4.99) - Lathers up nice.  I don't have a problem with breakage but this claims to make your hair stronger.  My hair squeaked after rinsing which I always thought was the sign of a good shampoo getting all the build up off.

Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Total Care Conditioner.  value $1.16 (12.7 oz. $4.99) - Doesn't leave a film or leave hair feeling heavy like some conditioners have a tendency to do.  Rinsed out nice and hair felt soft.

The total value of my Summer Beauty Box is $20.73 and I received all of it for free!  So if you have a blog or don't mind using social networking to give your opinions on products then sign up with Influenster and you may be a lucky one picked for the next VoxBox.

**I received these items for free from Influenster for evaluation purposes.  My opinions are my own and not influenced by the companies, products or Influenster

  1. This site looks like fun but it doesn't seem to want to let me register. Twice, I entered a username and password -- and a box appeared around both fields, indicating they were "blank" (though they most certainly were not). I even tried clicking "forgot password" in case I'd registered a long time ago and... forgot, but it said my email address was invalid. *shrug* Has anybody else encountered this problem?

    1. That's odd. Have you tried emailing them to see of there is some sort of glitch?

  2. Ooh, thanks for letting us know about this site.

I was able to register on the first try

    1. Subscription boxes are fun but free stuff is even better! Hope you get a box soon.
