June Samplrs Box

Here's another new monthly subscription box for everyone.  Hey don't judge, everyone has their weakness.

Samplrs is a monthly subscription service that revolves around food.  Each month you will receive 4-6 full size products from up and coming food artisans.  The cost is $29.99 a month (shipping included)

The good:

Sizes: The company gives you full sizes of the products.  Now you don't have to hide your treasures from other people.

Price: If you are into gourmet food items then the price is awesome.  These are not products you are likely going to find on sale in your local grocery store.  If you are a picky eater or not into trying new foods then this may not be the service for you.

Discounts: You can earn points which can be used for discounts in the marketplace.

Information: They include a card with the product information and this months card had two recipes using the spiced sour cherry spread.  (Broiled peaches with Spiced Sour Cherry Spread and Spiced Sour Cherry Tortilla Roll-ups - sounds delish!)

Vegetarian: You can opt to receive an vegetarian-only box which will contain vegetarian alternatives to featured meat products.

The not so good:

Skip a month: There is no option to skip only to cancel.

When I opened the shipping box this is what I saw.  There was a card with product information and on the backside were two recipes using the cherry spread.  Under that there was something that looked like a canvas hopping bag.  When I was carrying the box inside I could hear liquid sloshing so I was super excited to see what that was all about.

FULL SIZE FOOD TREASURES!!

The contents of the box with the retail value:

8.3oz jar of The Gracious Gourmet Spiced Sour Cherry Spread. $9.00 http://www.thegraciousgourmet.com/ - I took a little taste of this and it tasted like yummy cherry pie.

4 cookies made with E. Guittard dark chocolate and Maldon Sea Salt from Salt of the Earth Bakery $7.00 http://www.saltoftheearthbakery.com/ - I liked these.  The chocolate chips used are flat so it was like the cookie was stuffed with chocolate.  The boyfriend thought they were too salty and I can see why he would say that because the salt is a little strong but I didn't mind it.

16.9 fl. oz. Frank Honest Goodness Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil $19.98 http://www.frankorganics.com/ - I have been using this to make a basalmic vinigarette and it's delicious.

8 oz pkg. Z Crackers Cayenne + Cumin Crackers $7.00 http://www.savorypie.com/ - I thought these were going to be spicier because of the name but they had just the right amount of spice.  I put some Laughing cow cheese on top and it was a nice little after work snack.

4 pieces of Cranberry Orange Zest Biscotti from Biscotti Di Vecchio $4.98 http://www.biscottidivecchio.com/ - I ate these with my coffee and they were delicious.  You would really taste the cranberry. They were perfect for dipping because they didn't get soggy but we soft enough to bite into after dipping.

1 really cute shopping bag with the Samplrs logo on it. value $5.00? - I love reusable bags, so this is awesome

I am very excited about this box.  Biscotti? yes please.  Olive Oil? always need that.  Cookies? Umm yeah.  There is nothing in here that I can't wait to try.  The total value of my box is $52.96.  What a great value!

Verdict: If the boxes keep coming like this then count me in!  Can't wait for next month.

**I am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Samplrs.  I purchase these subscriptions myself.
