April Eco-Emi Box

I recently added a new service to my ever growing list of subscription services.  I know, I know another box?  I kept hearing really good things about Eco-Emi so I couldn't resist.  Eco Emi is an monthly subscription company that sends a minimum of 5 eco-friendly products to you every month for a fee of $15 (shipping included).  The products range from beauty, household, food, etc.

The items arrived in a small USPS flat rate box.  There was no other packaging inside the box.  This goes along with their eco-conscious practices and I appreciate it.  While I do like some of the boxes, bags my other subscriptions come in I'm gathering quite a collection because I can't bring myself to toss them and I've haven't been able to re-purpose them yet.  Inside the box was a note card with information on all the products in the box.

This is the note card with all the information on the products.

When I opened the mailing box this is what it looked like.  Some of the products were in a little bag and a couple of them wrapped in tissue paper.

The orange paper with the elephant is from http://www.mrellipooh.com/.  The are advertising the paper which is called Pachyderm Paper made out of elephant dung.  The back has a whole bunch of information on the elephants in Sri Lanka and the reason they are being killed.  It was very interesting reading.  The other items are all of my treasures.  As you can see there is soap, toothpaste, lotion, body wash, lip shimmer, bronzer, tea, honey and drink enhancers.

This is a close up of the drink enhancers and chocolate sample.

.75 oz. Dr. Collins Natural toothpaste Vanilla mint with Goji Berry - value $1.21 - This is a paste and felt a little grainy which was fine.  I mention it because I normally use gel so it was a little different feeling.  I didn't notice a strong mint flavor but the flavor reminded me of yogurt.  Weird huh? I could definitely taste the berry.  (4.2 oz. $6.75) http://www.drcollins.com/

.75 oz ? The Seaweed Co. Wildly Natural Seaweed Soothing Body Wash -value $1.06 (12 oz. $16.89) - This had a little zing to it.  It was a nice little wake up in the shower.  http://www.seaweedbathco.com/

.5 oz? Shea Radiance Whipped Shea Butter in Kalahari Melon w/20% off coupon using code ECOEMI2012 - value $3.40 (5 oz. $34.00) http://www.shearadiance.com/

1 Mate Factor Tropical Lime teabag w/20% off coupon using code ecoemi - value $0.30 (20 tea bags $5.99) - I didn't like this flavor very much.  http://www.matefactor.com/

Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Raw Fair Trade Honey and a booklet with information and 17 really tasting looking recipes using the honey - value $0.75 (16 oz $7.99) - I've used this brand before and really enjoyed it.  I'm excited to have a small one to keep at work for my coffee or tea.    http://www.wholesomesweetners.com/

Catalyst Gourmet enchanting chai enhancer w/$5 off $20 using code ECOEMI12  (1.5 oz. $16) - I used this in my coffee and it added a nice little chai flavor. http://www.catalystgourmet.com/

.5 oz. Catalyst Gourmet enchanting chai finishing sugar w/$5 off $20 using code ECOEMI12 - value $1.25 (6 oz. $15) http://www.catalystgourmet.com/

Catalyst Gourmet enchanting chai bites of bliss spiced chocolate bark w/$5 off $20 using code ECOEMI12 - (2.5 oz. $8.50) I like chai a lot so I was looking forward to trying this but it tasted like black licorice to me which I'm not a fan of.   http://www.catalystgourmet.com/

I also received a coupon for Lauren Brooke cosmetiques for 15% off but it expired on May 15th and I didn't receive my box until May 16th.  Hmmmm.

A coupon for 15% off $25 or more w/code ECOLBS12 at http://www.ellbees.com/.  I thought this was strange because I didn't receive any samples for this product.  The coupon also had 2 recipes on the back using their products.

What mixture of products huh?  I received $24.26 worth if products for my $15.00.  I am really happy with the assortment of products and it's all products I will use.  The vanilla mint goji berry toothpaste sounds especially interesting.

Verdict: Keep the eco-emi coming....

***I pay for these subscriptions myself and am not any type of sponsor paid or unpaid for Eco-Emi.
